It’s a wrap for Bench Press at the 2026 USPFC. Attempt 1, I went with a safe 170.8 lbs.. it was ok. Attempt 2, a small jump to 176.3lbs moved fairly easy once I was focused. But attempt 3, at 187lbs was a huge gamble that didn’t move! It’s all good though. It was still a great day, I felt strong, I saw some old friends, and then some new friends. And, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s push-pull.

*Update: The first picture shows both current and retired athletes from my department

Looking back at this meet. Some people talk about overcoming obstacles, and others just show up and compete. Absolute respect for the mindset it takes to line up and test your strength, no matter what 😎

We packed this edition with so many things we genuinely love—community happenings, local traditions, wellness tips, skincare favorites, exciting updates at the spa, and little reminders to slow down and take care of yourself too 🤍

This month we’re chatting about:
☕ Our new Cozy Tuesdays at the cottage
🌾 The return of the Patterson Farmers Market
🌮 A local restaurant we absolutely love
🌸 Taurus season energy and slowing down a little
💆‍♀️ Marissa’s stretch of the month
🧖‍♀️ Our current skincare favorites
🤍 A very special client appreciation spotlight
🧚‍♀️ Updates on our fairy trinket box + more

Honestly, creating these newsletters has become such a meaningful part of our little business. It gives us a chance to share more than services—it lets us share the people, places, energy, and moments that inspire us and make our community feel so special.

If you read through it, thank you. Truly.
Your support, your kindness, your appointments, your shares, your conversations… all of it means more than you know ✨

We’d love to know—which section was your favorite this month? 🌸

1st Annual Coalinga Classic was so much fun!!

Not only did the lifters put on a show 🔥 but the crowd was yelling and cheering them on which made it so much better!

Huge shout out to my mother / father in law for cooking us food
Also to @meccanutrition for matching what we bought to do a fun little event to see who won the supplement stacks!
To the women helping @kuchmanzada call the next lifters, selling tickets for food, selling shirts y’all did so good!!
Spotters and loaders kept everyone safe 🙏🏻

These events wouldn’t happen if these lifters didn’t sign up. Our goal was to show our community how fun and entertaining and encouraging powerlifting meets are and we definitely accomplished that here.

Who’s ready for the next one?

‼️How sports massage can benefit you as a gym goer‼️:

1. Enhanced Muscle Recovery and Reduced Soreness

• Explanation: Sports massage helps alleviate muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and promote faster healing of microtears caused by intense workouts.
• Benefit: Gym-goers experience less post-workout soreness (such as delayed onset muscle soreness or DOMS) and quicker recovery times, allowing them to maintain a consistent workout schedule without prolonged discomfort.

2. Improved Flexibility and Range of Motion

• Explanation: Regular sports massage can break down adhesions and scar tissue in the muscles and fascia, improving overall muscle elasticity and joint flexibility.
• Benefit: Enhanced flexibility and range of motion enable gym-goers to perform exercises with better form and efficiency, reducing the risk of injury and improving overall workout performance.

3. Stress Relief and Mental Relaxation

• Explanation: Sports massage not only addresses physical tension but also provides a relaxing experience that can reduce stress and anxiety levels.
• Benefit: Reduced stress and improved mental relaxation help gym-goers stay motivated and focused on their fitness goals, contributing to a more enjoyable and sustainable workout routine.
