In preparation of our latest album, we wanted to dive deeper and peek underneath the proverbial “hood” of our artistic existences. We wanted to fully understand the magic of what makes us who we are. To begin unpacking questions like, “What got us here?” And most importantly, “What’s going to keep us moving forward?”. While back home in Ascension Parish visiting our mother, we decided to take the old photo album for a spin. As our fingers flipped through the plastic covered pages, inspiration struck! Oozing with 90s nostalgia, the scene depicts a quaint living room and your’s truly with toy guitars playfully strapped around our necks. Total confidence. No fear. Unbridled openness.“That” version of ourselves HAD to be rediscovered. This album is the start of a study, an assessment of our foundations. A reminder and a return to our truest selves. More than a title, but a mantra murmured in our darkest moments seeking direction. After all the missteps, mistakes, and misfortunes, our commitment hasn’t changed. Our message to the freshest (and youngest) version of ourselves: “Still Want You The Same”. ——— C R E D I T S Co-Production: THEBROSFRESH Mix: @dreadedredbeard Master: @pryces_music Contributors: @shvkiel , @j4ondrums , @letrainiump , @whoisadiv , @gary__larsen , @marcell.coleman , @andrewmurdaface , @thomasonebane , @keelandonovan , @timlightyear , @mikeedamaxx , @milobortizz , @marybryce__ , @_marjonofficial , @berryinthewild__ , @victors_n_spoils Creative Partners: @itsjulianmunoz , @tonybojangle , @chauncey.scott Cover Art: @picassoofthesouth Cover Design: @loux.vaughn Recorded at: @preacheraustin MGMT/The Glue: @beiarmin0 @5amtexts
