More women gathering, more kitchen dancing, more belly laughs, more moments of simply being together 💞🌊

And a little reminder to gather your people and make more room for JOY! 🤍

Because the truth is, about a year ago, I was feeling really lonely in my hometown. I'd felt that way for quite some time, and I was craving a deeper sense of connection and community with the women around me locally.

Eventually, I took a little leap of faith and posted in a local wellness community group, sharing how I felt. And so many other women came forward saying they felt the same.

That one little post became the beginning of something beautiful. We started gathering, connecting, co-creating events and slowly building the kind of community we'd all been longing for.

And now, here we are. 🥹

A weekend away together, cooking breakfast, dancing around the kitchen to "Joy" and sharing the kind of connection that reminds you how beautiful life can be.

I'm sharing this because I know I'm not the only one who's ever felt lonely, even in the place I've called home for years.

Sometimes, the community we're longing for doesn't already exist in the way we need it to.

Sometimes, we have to take that first little step towards creating it ourselves.

If you've been craving connection, sisterhood or a deeper sense of belonging where you live, perhaps this is your gentle nudge to reach out, start the conversation or gather a few people together 🤍

Still smiling thinking about the magic of our summer gathering in July 🥹🫂 The dancing, the laughter, the connections, the beautiful energy of a room full of people coming together to move, feel and just BE! 💛

And now… we're doing it all again! 🙌🏽🎶

This time, we're embracing the darker evenings, getting cosy and leaning into all things AUTUMN for FALL & FLOW 🍂🕯️ Think soulful sounds, warm lighting, cacao, free movement and that beautiful feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself.

We're also SO excited to welcome the incredible Sea Gypsee @seagypsee back to Shaftesbury for another immersive musical journey! 🎧🔥

✨ Sea Gypsee is a soulful DJ and Ecstatic Dance facilitator and founder of Ecstatic Dance Cardiff! 💫 Through her beautiful blend of tribal bass, folktronica, afro rhythms, deep house and uplifting sounds, she creates a musical journey that invites us to move, explore, let go and reconnect with ourselves through dance🌿💃🏽🎶

A little vulnerable share today… 🤍

Only a year ago, I felt deeply lonely in my own hometown.

I had lots of people around me through my work and communities, but when I had time off, I often found myself alone.

I was craving those everyday friendships - people to go for walks with, have tea with, make spontaneous plans with and simply do life with 🫂

Fast forward a year, and I feel so incredibly grateful for the community and friendships I now have around me! 🌱

It’s amazing what can change when we are vulnerable and create space for connection.

I won't lie... I have been feeling quite stagnant with my movement & fitness recently.

I haven't gone to my fitness class in a whileeeee...

I have been prioritising other areas of my life (business and social!)...

But I have actually been enjoying dancing at home again, even if only to a few songs a day!

And I wanted to bring you on the journey with me...

I was feeling a little bit stagnant... not so connected to my body and I wanted to gently connect back to myself again 🔥✨💃🏽...

For me it's always movement that brings me back to myself... To my wellness & peace within myself 💛

This was my morning dance just now. And I feel so much better already!

More alive, more joy, more freedom and less in my mind! 💃🏽

Today I woke up feeling stagnant...

Tired...in my head, and a little bit overwhelmed with my focus list 🥹

So I knew I needed to hydrate properly & moveeee my body...

To get out of my head and INTO my body instead!! ✨🔥

It's amazing what a shift I felt after simply dancing to one song for 5 mins or so! 🥳

Now the thought of my focus lists feels less like...

"I have so much I need to do" 🫠

And more like...

"I have so much I GET to do - what a blessing!" 😌

A little piece of the magic that was Mucky Weekender 🌈❤️‍🔥

One of those weekends that leaves your heart feeling completely full! 🥹

So much incredible music, dancing, laughter, connection and the freedom to just completely let go 🤪👽

And honestly, there is something so deeply healing about moving your body alongside others all weekend...

Meeting strangers on the dance floor who instantly feel like friends 🫂

Singing at the top of your lungs to songs you loveeeee.

Dancing with the people you love.
Being completely silly.
Feeling the music through your whole body.
Forgetting everything else for a while...

It reminded me how much we need this.

Movement. Music. Connection. Community.

We spend so much of our lives in our heads...
Sometimes we just need to come back into our bodies.

To move. To play. To laugh. To connect. To feel.

These experiences genuinely feel like medicine for the soul always 💃🏽🌊💓

So grateful for this beautiful weekend, for the incredible people we met, the friends we danced with, the artists who gave us so much joy and for getting to share so many of these moments with my love, Dan!! 🥹❤️‍🔥

There really is nothing quite like dancing your way through life 💃🏽🕺🏽✨

What an absolutely beautiful, wild, weird and wonderful weekend! 🌈🔥✨

One of the most incredible lineups I’ve ever experienced - so many of my favourite bands, DJs and artists all in one place.

A magical weekend full of music, dancing, singing, laughing, letting go and completely losing myself in the moment! 🎶🕺🏽💃🏽

But honestly… it’s the community that makes this place so special.

I’ve never found another festival quite like it...

It’s open, quirky, kind, giving, accepting and somehow feels incredibly safe to just be exactly who you are.

There’s no judgement and truly no need to hold back.

Just thousands of people coming together to have fun, connect and celebrate being alive ❤️‍🔥

And there’s something so beautiful about the friendships you make on a dance floor...

Meeting complete strangers and within minutes you're dancing together like old friends - finding the people who just get you and your energy...

Who embrace the silliness, the freedom, the desire to let loose and move your body without fear of being too much 🥹✨

I also got to catch up with some wonderful Dreadit clients @dreadit.uk, meet so many beautiful new people and spend an entire weekend surrounded by music, movement and connection.

And it reminded me once again just how deeply healing music & movement can be.

We spend so much of our everyday lives inside our heads... thinking, working, planning, worrying and even rushing...

Sometimes we just need to put on some music and move.

Shake it out. Sweat it out. Dance it out.
Laugh. Sing. Connect. Be silly. Be free ✨

There is something incredibly powerful about moving alongside other people and feeling that shared energy... a reminder that we are not meant to do life completely alone 🌊💓

This is why music, movement and community mean so much to me.

They bring us back into our bodies.
They bring us back to each other.
They bring us back to life.

Feeling very, very grateful for this little pocket of magic. 🥹🌈✨

There really is no other festival like it ❤️‍🔥

I was bored on a Saturday night… so I decided to throw myself a little 20-minute dance party instead 😂💃🏼

And honestly, I feel SO much better for it.

I’ve been letting movement slip a little recently, even though I know how much it supports my wellbeing... so I’m bringing it back, and I want to share more of that journey here with you 🌊

Because water wants to move...

And so do we!!!

Sometimes we just need to put on a song, shake it out, let ourselves be silly and move whatever feels like moving.

THE VERY FIRST DREADLOCK CONVENTION ✨

Today I headed to Glastonbury for the very first Dreadlock Convention — a beautiful gathering of like-minded people coming together to share their skills, products, creativity and passion for all things dready. From incredible loc work and handmade accessories to crystals and beautiful little treasures, there was so much to explore. 🖤✨

I went along partly to support the wonderful Aimee from Dreadit, but also because I really wanted to meet some of the incredible locticians whose names I’ve seen, whose work I’ve admired and whose voices I’ve come across in forums and groups — but had never actually met in person.

And honestly… what a lovely bunch of women. 🥹

The welcoming, supportive and collaborative energy was just everything. There was such a strong feeling of empowering one another and lifting up other locticians within our industry — and that is SO close to my heart and exactly what I believe this community should be about. ❤️

It was absolutely fantastic to finally meet Dreads & Threads in the flesh after being a bit of a fangirl of her work from afar! 😂 And Lunar Fox Lox — what an absolute QUEEN of the vibe! 👑✨ I’m so excited to connect more with Lunar and see where that friendship and collaboration takes us.

And of course, it was lovely to support the wonderful Aimee from Dreadit based in Shaftesbury. Her stall was absolutely gorgeous and had a little bit of everything any dready could possibly want! 😍

There really is such an amazing group of people in the South of England creating, maintaining and celebrating incredible dreadlock styles of all kinds. It was so special to have everyone together in one place.

So here’s to collaboration over competition, supporting one another, sharing knowledge and building an even stronger dreadlock community. 🖤

I’m already looking forward to the next one!
