DS003 out now: Depths of Reality by Cooper Saver (@coopersaver) on @dreamspacerecs. His first solo EP in six years runs four tracks. The title track opens, ‘Be Alive’ follows on what the label calls cosmic radiance, and the B side pairs ‘Glider’ with ‘Running In Circles’, the understated and shimmering end of the record. At Cooper’s request, half of every digital sale goes to votecope.ca. Far Away was his, the Los Angeles party he started in 2012 and ran through warehouses and covert spaces for the rest of the decade, with Floating Points, Avalon Emerson, Young Marco and Four Tet all passing through. He has since moved north to Squamish in British Columbia. Records and remixes have come out on Hivern Discs, Permanent Vacation, Internasjonal and DFA, and he works often as a collaborator, as Inner Flight and Night Cycle alongside Chris Macintyre and in the hardcore punk band Self Arrest. 🔗 Listen to Depths of Reality via link in bio.

DSD01 out now: Who Knew (w/ Richard Sen Remix) by @kiakimusic on @dreamspacerecs. DSD01 opens Dream Space’s new digital-only series, and it is also Kiakí’s first record for the label. He takes things deep across two originals, a pair of leftfield chuggers, with ‘Duality’ running seven minutes. Richard Sen (@richard_sen_coma) takes the title track for the middle slot, and at 7:41 his remix is the longest thing on the release. Dream Space’s own line on it is that they still haven’t had enough of it since the first listen. Kiakí is Kieran Boyle, who studied sound technology in Liverpool and built his early method on slowing techno down until it sat closer to the hip hop he grew up on. Man Power and Erol Alkan both picked up on him early, Decca commissioned an Aurora remix in 2019, and Me Me Me, Sprechen and Fourier Transform have carried his records since. Richard Sen has three decades behind him, first as a London graffiti artist, then through Bronx Dogs and Padded Cell, with remixes for Bryan Ferry, John Grant and LCD Soundsystem and compilations for Strut and Ransom Note, the latter voted DJ Mag’s best British compilation of 2023. 🔗 Listen to Who Knew via link in bio.

With just 2 weeks to go until our party at @club.eiger with @snapsofbruce and @jidgyb we thought it was time to introduce some of our DJs, and some of the music they might play on the night 🎧 First up it’s @joefm_92 who will be opening proceedings: 🎵 @hooson_johnson - Small Zhuzh [ @nonemorerecords ] : Could have picked a couple of tunes off this EP, but I love this one for the slinky bassline and the spacey vocals that build into a frenzy. Likely to pitch this one up a bit. Perfect for getting the dancefloor into a trippy groove.
🎵 @winklit - Multicoloured Plasticine Universe (@erikluebs Remix) [ @askyfullofnumbers ] : This EP from Manchester based label and party ASFON is right up my street. The original of this tune is probably my favourite on there, but I am most likely to play the Erik Luebs remix. Hypnotic builder with a lush breakdown, this is masterclass in building energy without overdoing it.
🎵 @milesjparalysis - Inhibited Orgy [ @dreamspacerecs ] : Had to pick a tune out of Leeds and this forthcoming EP featuring remixes and originals from @bleachingagent and Miles J Paralysis is wicked. Tratratrax influenced techno meets the low-slung chug of the Calder Valley. A subtle stomper! Shout out to all the artists and labels and if you like any of the tunes they are all available to buy on bandcamp 🙏 —————————————————————————— We aren’t far off final release tickets, so grab yours soon to avoid paying more 🎟️ Tickets are available through the 🔗 in our bio and remember all profits will be going to the forest peoples programme 🌳 More to come next week 🐸
