LOVE 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼 SOUND 👏🏼

🥰✨💙🫶🏼🥹

Learning a lot about myself lately, leaning into & examining uncomfortable realizations, memories, traumas, & triggers. It’s hard work, fam. Healing, reparenting, reflecting, while working, planning, & praying for the present & future. Cheers to everyone doing the work!

I was recently exposed to the concepts of attachment styles, codependency, & ADHD — & the role that each of these play in my life, psyche, struggles, triumphs, & journey. I’ve always desired to feel & be free, which has looked different across the many chapters of my story so far. I, like probably everyone, benefit from some structure, & also crave & require flexibility. I’ve been identified as a “free spirit” for as long as I can remember.

I formerly subscribed to “toxic positivity,” & let that go. Formerly wished that everyone would like me. Let that go. “Know better, do better” (& healthier), right? 😊

The more I learn & grow, the more I invest & concentrate my time & energy into the people who I love, & LIKE, deeply. I focus on the pillars of transparency, authenticity, intuition, & integrity, that have long been my “return to”s. My touchtrees, that help keep me centered.

My incredible support systems of loved ones keep me aligned & feeling so loved, & I’m immensely grateful. These beloveds include my “day one”s, to those fantastic, surreal connections & friendships made in a coffee shop in Ireland or a layover in Morocco or a parking lot in Harrisburg, etcc., & so many in between.

Moving a lot throughout my life has taught me so much about quality >> quantity, & reciprocity over proximity. It deadass does not matter how much time passes in between conversations or visits — it’s the feeling & connection we share, from near & far, across space & time.

Thank you to my people. I adore, respect, & admire you all, & the gratitude I feel for you is beyond words. Thank you for loving me well, bringing me back to myself, reminding me I’m brave, & being the light in my life.
I’m too often inconsistent with prayers, but I praise God for “my people” every day. 🙏🏼❤️🫶🏼

This sound invoked BIG FEELS for my bffs🥹😘 wish I could tag you all!

Grateful to have known Michael, & to celebrate his life & legacy w. his countless family, friends, & fans. I was blessed to be present for his services, yet - thanks to modern technology - loved ones from around the world could watch & be a part them, too.

It was truly the most special celebration of life at St Mary’s. The speeches were moving, w. such neat stories. The readings & hymns were meaningful. The sermon was amazing! Rev. Sam Chamelin (a local, w. a dairy farming background) made us laugh & cry, sharing messages of joy, passion, & purpose as they relate to Michael.

The stories & speeches included:

• Uncle Allen remembering how he & Michael held up milkings, getting distracted by young Michael asking Allen to select cow classes for him to judge during chores.

• Bobby addressed Michael as a hero, as an organ donor, & for representing their family, cows, & the industry so well.

• Russell quoted Emerson, discussing “enthusiasm as an engine,” & how nothing great is achieved w/o enthusiasm, & how Michael used his enthusiasm for people & cattle to help elevate many.

• Kevin & Andrew shared examples of how successful Michael was at finding the “diamonds in the rough,” by staying grounded & always making time to stop in after seeing Jerseys in a pasture. He gave overlooked herds & people a chance to shine.

• Scott called Michael the best, most loyal friend anyone could ever have or hope for.

• Nathan said that whenever Michael visited, even back when “they didn’t have much for cattle,” Michael acted like they were all grand champs. “He promoted Jerseys before many people had them. We’re all better people because of Michael.”

• Andrew was among those that talked about Michael as a “doer, who took action” (like with he and Spatz’s creation of the Jersey Event and 5 Star Sires). Andrew shared how Michael’s impact on the Jersey breed included “gave hope and belief to breeders globally,” and how there’s no last chapter in the book of Michael Heath.

• Kalli read an amazing original poem that gave me goosebumps.

•Jenny noted that “family is who you let in your heart,” and the Heath/Stiles families said “thanks for sharing Michael with us.”
