“Beware of temptation! Temptation is all around you!”

Do you feel that in your body? I sure do.

That flinch. That feeling that something doesn’t quite ring true.

You don’t have to remember hearing these warnings for them to live somewhere inside of your body and experience.

The time you didn’t buy the thing you really wanted because well, temptation.

You didn’t need it anyway, not really. There’s people going without food tonight. You can still use what you have…You’re supporting the planet…

Justification after justification swirls inside of you to the point that you’ve justified the heck out of the thing, making the thing mean so much more than it intrinsically ever had.

What if temptation is all around you, and that’s the GOOD NEWS?

What if the breeze against your skin is God tempting you?

What if how your child melts against you is God tempting you?

What if all those gorgeous feelings you’ve ever had and will have are God tempting you?

God calling you closer to your true self and God?

Playing with Fire starts September 7th!

9 days of hearing all those temptations as the doorway to God.
< 5 minutes a day + a live Temptations workshop.

Have I tempted you yet?!

PLAY

It’s not the reward at the end of the list. It’s THE thing running underneath the list.

Late summer is when the fire of life is highest in the body and mind. Everything in you is running hot. This strong fire looks like ambition, a sharp sword through the muck, fully capable of finishing the report, answering the follow up, doing the thing you promised in June.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to put play in a box. As a result, we made it something to be earned. Something to be scheduled.

We learned to turn play into the reward once all items on the to-do list are checked off.

What if we microdose play instead?!

90 seconds of breathwork in the middle of writing a report. The song you listen to before the meeting to get you in an even better mindset. The 15 minute slow walk after lunch.

My dear, play protects desire. 💃

Play keeps you connected to your body’s needs and wants, all desires.
Play connects you to God communicating through your body.

Play is faith in action.

Play is what makes life feel sweet, even when we’re sending a follow-up email that isn’t so fun or on a day-long Zoom training meeting.

Playing with Fire is 9 days of protecting your desires with a smile on your face and a swivel in your hips.

Free to join! Link in bio. 🔥

Sheriff ain’t have to say “Deader than 4:00” at the press conference though. That was uncalled for. (I’m trying so hard not to laugh) I try to steer clear of alligators and methamphetamines and it’s pretty easy to do that. This guy tried to mix them…smh…Somebody please make this into a movie…ultimately this is a sad story. Stay away from gators. Stay away from meth. Stay away from meth and gators. Pause it in between slides to read the whole thing! SMDH
