Another month has passed and once again we have 20-something more releases from Montreal bands, plus a couple I missed the month before. A huge thanks to @sinaftersinradio for writing a big portion of the reviews (which will be highlighted in PINK 🩷).

Hard to express what eight years of Dresser has meant to me! I wouldn’t be who I am today, as a person and as a musician if it wasn’t for the time we’ve spent together grinding it out in the MTL and Canadian and occasionally US indie scenes. Finn and Kev have been there for all of the most important moments of my adult life, from our crusty kitchen jobs to my marriage. This project has pushed me, inspired me, held me at my lowest and my highest.

Being in a band is one of the most special kinds of relationship. A chosen family, best friends, collaborators and conspirators. When you’re lucky enough to find your people it can open the world up to you in ways you’d never imagine.

Letting go, moving on, is the hardest part of growing and changing. I’ll forever be grateful for what we did as a group. I can’t believe that teenage Finn’s decision to move across the entire world (to what, go to drones club? Seriously questionable haha) would completely change the course of my life and I’m so glad he did.

I love my boys forever and always 💞💞💞 I hope you’ll join us on Friday at Sala to celebrate our final record and our final show. What else could I ask for than to be surrounded by friends and loved ones as this chapter comes to a close.
