Funny how an old picture can take you back. Someone recently sent me this photo of my friend Reginald “Reggie” Estell Jr., and I found myself just sitting with it for a minute. This was years ago, during a time when I was a candidate for office. Reggie was there supporting me. Looking at this picture today, that means a little more to me than it probably did when we originally took it. I also caught myself looking around the picture and noticing some of the other people who were in the room that day, including Attorney Ben Crump . It reminded me just how many chapters of life have unfolded since then. When Reggie passed, I never made a post. Sometimes you just don't have the words in the moment. But seeing this picture reminded me that life really is a collection of moments, relationships, and people who choose to show up for you along the journey. Reggie was one of those people for me. I'm grateful for the friendship. Grateful for the memories. And grateful somebody sent me this picture when they did. Rest well, Reggie. You are missed, my friend. 🙏🏾💙
