Four years running. Every collection. She never lets me down.

She shows up, does her thing, and brings my vision to life.

A sharp fringe, precise lines, and a burst of autumn rust cutting through the darkness.

A clash of colour and shadow.

And just like that… The Purpose turned one.

The Purpose began with a simple idea - to tell stories with purpose through carefully curated experiences across fashion, food, travel, art and culture.

And what a year it has been.

From London, Paris, Rome,Switzerland, India, Thailand and Bali, we have travelled far beyond where we imagined.

We wandered through Bang Niang Market, explored the temples, markets, architecture, textiles and craftsmanship of India, and experienced the extraordinary hospitality of Apéritif at The Viceroy Bali and K Club Ubud. In Switzerland, we followed a visual journey through a memorable Swiss cheese adventure - In Rome, Nomos Hotel showed us another side of understated luxury.

Fashion took us across Paris, London and Australia, experiencing some incredible shows, designers and brands, including watching the Dior Men SS27 show at Paris Fashion Week.

We spoke to Sif Jakobs Jewellery, Primaewan, Alisa Dudaj, Studio Shoo, HuBing, attended Vogue Codes 2025 and watched the return of Topshop.

We met incredible people including Michael Young, Melissa Timperley and Siobhan Jones, discovering the stories behind the businesses, brands and creative worlds they have built.

Because ultimately, that is what The Purpose is about - the people.

The Purpose is not knowing simply what something is, but why it exists. Not simply somewhere beautiful, but what makes it worth experiencing. Not simply a successful person, but the story and purpose behind them.

Food and hospitality became another huge part of our journey. Lucky Cat Manchester, Swine, Pavé, Vivat Bacchus, The Broadcaster, Orion and Parasol Hackney each offered something completely different.

And none of this would exist without the people who helped bring it to life

Cara, Lee, Sonia, Dahlia, Priyanka, Alanna, Daniel, Nads and Sabrina, and our incredible creative team Narita, Drew, Jazmine and Laura, thank you for your words, ideas, time and creativity.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, read, shared and believed in The Purpose.

One year. Countless stories. So many places, people and experiences - and the adventures!

The Purpose is only just getting started.

Thank you 💜

🎬 BTS photos and stills from short thriller film Facade on which I was Costume Designer, with @adelaide.designs.09 as Costume Assistant. The short takes us through three sessions between a therapist, Ruth, and her client, Anna. Quick digital drawings shown at end, drawn on Photoshop. Had a great time working on my first Manchester film !
