What was supposed to be a quiet day paddling across a river to do some canyons quickly turned into us getting adopted into a larger group, and later turned into some great new friendships as we descended this world class combo canyon we'll call Moxy (more commonly called Monbox)

I normally wax poetic about the beauty of the canyons, and this canyon is definitely worthy of that. But in a maybe cliche turn, the beauty of this trip largely turned out to be the friends we made along the way through the accelerated friendship building exercise that is canyoning.

Thank you to the group that took us in on our first day and made this trip more than we had planned for - Erik, Jody, Emily, Han, Nathan, Sarah-Jane, Jonah, and Josh.

A High Day at High Falls

Kati and I unexpectedly ended up descending this gem of a canyon after serendipitously running into a group of canyoneers (now fast friends) on our trip in Squamish. This canyon had it all: Polished granite walls, narrow corridors, massive multi-tier waterfalls, deep blue pools, stunning geology, slides, jumps, rainbows. The list goes on.

This canyon shouldn't be missed by those with the technical skill and gumption to get into this place. Its no small undertaking, buts its certainly worth the reward for those willing to make the journey.

Thanks to all who made this descent possible: Erik, Jody, Nathan, Sarah-Jane, Jonah, Josh, and Kati. Also big thanks to the first descent team for exploring this canyon and sharing this beta for all to enjoy.

Been working this job as a canyoneering guide. Didn’t know what that meant a couple months ago. All smiles and high fives since
