Congratulations to the squad on a successful outing to Bowdoin Park - known widely as amongst the most challenging XC courses in the Northeast. Our boys showed grit and resolve in traversing the ups and downs of the 5k course.

Senior Nic Katsoulis, who owns the 5th fastest time in school history on the Bowdoin course, led the squad as multiple boys recorded new Manhasset All-Time Best Performances. Strong races by Andrew Tsimikalis, Cameron Appell, Aidan Frey, & Cole Miller

Congratulations as well to Jackson Scrafford, who had a tremendous race to lead our freshman squad to a 3rd place team finish on the 3k course, finishing 5th overall of 116 runners, improving his time from last fall by a minute and 40 seconds!

The boys showed out today in their season debut at Warwick Valley Wave Mania Invitational. Led by Nic Katsoulis, the Varsity squad won the meet in an impressive 22 points with a 1-5 compression of 27 seconds. The top 7 all earn medals. The JV squad led by Matthew Aizman earned a solid 2nd place team finish. Onto the freshman…Justin Knoll ran a 2nd best all time Manhasset performance in the 1.5 Mile of 7:46 to get 2nd place, 8th grade phenom Gavin Adler close behind in 8:04. The boys showed out today and are ready for more. #grit #whereisthestorm #knoll

Thank you @foundationsportcamps for another great week. This was my 3rd and last week ever as a camper, and it meant the world to me to be able to travel 650 miles to go back and spend the week upstate. I’m forever grateful for the friends and family I reunited with and got to spend time with, and I’m also grateful for all the new people I met along the way. From winning the talent show for the 3rd year in a row, the endless beach volleyball, each and every meal with the boys, spilling the beans, playing the star spangled banner, getting destroyed by Tompkins and Westfalls once again, and more, every little or big moment now holds a special place in me. I can’t wait to see what’s next to come for this final cross country season. As they say, Lucas Lam has the strongest kick in the game and he’s not going to hold back his senior year.

Andrew Tsimkalis SAOTW #98
This week we are recognizing the incredible achievements of freshman and new Manhasset record holder, Andrew Tsimikalis. In a season full of highlights, Andrew added an exclamation point this past Sunday when he tore down Broadway in the Bronx to set a new Manhasset All Time mark (8:53) on the 1.5 mile course at Van Cortlandt Park. He has also earned personal bests of 18:26 (3mi @ McQuaid), 19:23 (Eisenhower) and 19:41 (Bethpage). In addition to his pursuits on the cross country course, Andrew is also actively rehearsing for his upcoming role in Manhasset’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. Be sure to catch him on both the course and the stage as the post season gets underway!
