Today we celebrated the groundbreaking of @thepitcenter’s Triumph House - a 6-bedroom transitional home that will be developed exclusively for young women exiting the foster care system.

💫 Congratulations to Shavon Saint Preux on this phenomenal achievement.

We’re proud and honored to have served in this process by having facilitated her journey through our Greater Miami Funders Collaborative. Through this experience, she matched with BB Americas Bank and has set a milestone as the first affordable housing deal to officially come out of the Funders Collaborative.

Thank you to @bbamericasbank for being wonderful investor partners in this collaborative over the past year. Additional thanks to JPMorganChase, the Knight Foundation and the Health Foundation of South Florida for powering this initiative.

This is only the beginning! If you're a developer or property owner seeking funding for your project, please contact Deputy Director, Audrey Aradanas at audrey@miamihomesforall.org.

This Earth Month we’re keeping it simple. 🌱

We asked our Miami and Saltwater Fellows to share how they show love for our planet in their everyday lives, and the answers are a reminder that small actions can make a BIG difference!

Caring for the place we all call home starts with each of us. 💚

Last week, @miamihomes4all celebrated its 40th anniversary and recognized some of the leaders that have had a major impact on housing and homelessness in Miami-Dade. We also shared our vision for how to tackle the enormous housing crisis our community confronts now.

With our partners, we have prioritized the most impactful solutions that answer the following questions: 1) Where should we build the housing we need? 2) How do we pay for it? 3) How do we build it faster? 4) Who gets it?

To learn more about what MHFA is doing to implement those solutions, check out our website or get in touch via email or DM.

Our community has done big things before, and we can do it again. We just need consensus and the will to take bold action. Join us!
