Day 2 of Connect Conference was all about the conversations happening in the room.

From speakers and panel discussions to students asking questions, meeting professionals, and connecting with people across food and agriculture, Day 2 gave us a chance to learn from one another and turn ideas into real conversations.

Throughout the day, attendees shared experiences, explored career pathways, built new relationships, and spent time thinking about what the future of food and agriculture can look like when people come together with intention.

Thank you to every speaker, student, partner, and attendee who brought their perspective and energy to the Connect Conference! These are the moments that make the Connect Conference what it is.

PROOF OF WORK!

Just because you don’t see me in front of the camera doesn’t mean you won’t see the impact.

Even long after the conference has concluded, still making sure the attendees from the @2gthrwegrow Connect Conference hosted by @drfitz_ have a lasting impression.

“This is truly my life’s experience put into a job opportunity.”

Today, we’re celebrating the birthday of our Executive Director, Dr. Stephon Fitzpatrick, by sharing his own words on why he chose Together We Grow.

In this clip, Dr. Fitzpatrick reflects on the path that led him to TWG, from his leadership in agriculture education to research focused on students pursuing agriculture at land-grant institutions. For him, this work is deeply connected to his education, career, and personal experience finding his way through the food and agriculture industry.

His story is a reminder that strong leadership is often rooted in purpose. At Together We Grow, Dr. Fitzpatrick is helping advance work that connects students and young professionals to career pathways, industry relationships, and opportunities across food and agriculture.

Happy birthday, Dr. Fitzpatrick. Thank you for leading this work with vision, purpose, and commitment to the future of food and agriculture.
