Leave it to me to post something for International Womenโ€™s Day 2 days after ๐Ÿ™„ Anyway, this is it: these are the women I call my close friends, although I think we all agree I can do a better job, lol. I am happy and grateful for each one in my life - Stephanie, Melissa, Karishma, and Julianne - for their love and support ๐Ÿ’Ÿ IWD/feminism/girl power/female friendships are all kinda difficult subjects for me to deal with. Even though I am a woman, there are things I can't really relate enough to, and I still have my own baggage to unpack and examine. ๐Ÿ›ƒ It's a luxury to have the time to do that - the problem is I have too much time and not enough courage to. I'm also a bit stubborn, although I'm working on being more open-minded. ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿผ The best thing I can do now is to celebrate who I have in my life, nurture that, and try to reach out/understand/support more. There are more women in my life that I admire, and there are those who are in outer orbit (i.e. internet) who I admire and idolize and want to connect with further but I don't b/c I'm too intimidated and/or scared that we wouldn't be friends. ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm grateful for all the things that they choose to be, and for sharing their journeys in making the world a better place for women and for all. ๐Ÿšบ ETA (5/20/22): 2 out of these 3 pictures were taken at Seasons 52!

๐Ÿ“† Thursday night: My friend Stephanie (@onthe0therside) took me out for my birthday at P.F. Changs! โ™‰๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰ Who cares if it was a month later; I had a wonderful time! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Glad she had a nice time too, it was her first time eating there! โ˜๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿœ I think she'll give it a good review. โŒจ๏ธโœ… Much needed night out. ๐ŸŒœ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ˜ Will have to return the favor in November! ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽˆ P.S. Happy we finally got a good pic of the 2 of us! ๐Ÿ‘ฏโœจ (ETA: I can't tag people in multiple pic posts? ๐Ÿ˜ณโ˜น๏ธ)

Since I can't do a TBT, I'll do a "Slinging-It-Back Saturday," which I just made up ๐Ÿ˜ 10/8/17: Karishma & Julianne @ The Cheesecake Factory in the Walt Whitman Mall ~ 2 people that I don't see nearly enough (was it, like, 2 years ago the last time we were together? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ) ๐Ÿ‘ฏ See also: the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake that I don't get to eat nearly enough ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿง€๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿญ This was much-needed day for me. โฃ๏ธ
