The dilemma for me is always torn between just fly fishing with @jbsflybox or photographing…and the camera almost always wins 🤣 but I definitely have a goal to become more independent when fishing and to really learn the craft!

I’m grateful to have a talented, full time guide any time we hit the water 😉 and also shoutout to @methodworksfishing for creating such a cool, durable bag that makes the fly fishing experience so streamlined and efficient AND @backcountryskinz for their alternative to waders!

Quick tip Thursday🏔️!!

Prepping materials to save time at the bench and on the vise = more time on the water!

Prepping your materials is also a great way to become consistent with patterns and remembering similar techniques to bring to other patterns!

There are many tools on the market that can save time and streamline the process of tying one to multiple flies at a time🙌 I suggest investing or making tools to do so. The foam organizer from hairline is just one of the ways I improve consistency and time for myself.

P.S. I am no saint nor do I prep for every fly I tie. My bench usually looks like an active war zone 😂 But I am finding myself as I progress and tie multiple flies in a sitting that it is the best method!

Hope you all enjoy!

Fun and productive mouse pattern I’ve tied for years! Had to swing by @flyfishfood to get some more zonker strips to whip some up.

This guy floats like a cork and breathes nicely on those striping pauses. The glow is a great reference for casting in the dark and last surprisingly long. Why fish blind when @loonoutdoors has you covered🤙🏼

Thank you all and hope you are all enjoying! Any content or reviews you would like to see comment below or DM and will make it happen!
