@darwinfestival & @the.nimas you did not disappoint, NT thank you always for beautiful times, was so proud to bring my new show “Take Me to the River “to Larrakia country, been dreaming it up for awhile , humbly got out to community in Northeast Arnhem Land land and finished the week back in Darwin for the National Indigenous Music Awards. So so proud and well done again to all the winners and more importantly, the amazing thriving Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island Music Scene. 🖤 Special times to be a part of!

It's #MusicMonday - let's kick off the week with "the most chill band from Arnhem Land"!

Bawuypawuy is the debut release of Drifting Clouds (@drifting__clouds), the solo project of Yolngu musician Terry Guyula. The song is a modern adaptation of a millennia old Songline passed from generations, blending tradition with Guyula’s eclectic musical style.

Guyula sings in his first language: Liyawulma’mirr-Djambarrpuyngu, a language of Yolngu Matha, the lyrics describe a traditional Songline of the sea, waves and currents become stronger, rough and tough in Arnhem Bay (Gupawupa).
