Magical trip to visit @driftlessprovisions this week. Liesel the Diesel loved stretching her legs on the highway for the trip, getting almost 30mpg. Windows down and sunroof open the whole way. We camped, rode a river ferry and picked apples at the historic orchard @seed_savers_exchange 🤯🤯🤯

Can you layup with your left hand like me? Doesn’t matter…we still want you to Board and Ball. Am not going to stop, so you might as well come hang at least once, what do you have to lose? As always charcuterie board and family friendly good vibes provided. Bring yourself, a drink of your choice and something for the grill if your appetite is larger than the board provided.

Like a natural ecosystem, the conditions on our farm are constantly changing and require us to adapt in order to survive and thrive. In ecology, the more roles (or “niches”) occupied in an ecosystem, the more resilient an ecosystem is to disturbances. Many of our team members have taken this teaching of nature to heart and don’t just hold one role on the farm – they hold multiple!

Being highly adaptable, these individuals cycle across teams, lending their skills and energy to whatever the farm needs most in the moment. Depending on the day (and the person), they may be working in the fields, pack shed, mushroom barns, Farm Store, or delivery trucks.

Working in these roles allows them to gain more knowledge about the inner workings of our farm, expand their skillsets, and link the sub-teams on our farm, furthering the culture of camaraderie at Vitruvian.

The contributions of these team members are invaluable, and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our team.

Thank you:
