Years ago, my Spanish half-sister-in-law introduced me to @inesrosalessau tortas de aceite, delicate olive oil crackers with anise, and I was instantly hooked.

Back then, they weren’t available in Estonia, so I found a copycat recipe and started making my own. Much like most of the dishes on our Thanksgiving table, which I have been cooking for over 30 years. 😂

I haven’t found them in Ireland yet, though! If you know where to buy Inés Rosales cookies here, please let me know.

There’s not much better than a good cup of coffee, homemade tortas de aceite and a fresh issue of my favourite @driftmag_ coffee magazine, which I mostly buy for the photos. 😂☕

And on the left is the Otto fan by @stadlerform - probably the most stylish fan out there. A matte-black propeller wrapped in a beautiful bamboo frame.

Photo taken by yours truly.

POV: You ordered a classic Magic coffee, but somehow walked away with the Amber Bomb our special bar drink instead ☕️

No regrets.

Weekend Cafe Post ☕️

Back in Tokyo for a few days, but lost a couple of days to the heavy downpour and typhoon. So, I had to squeeze in all the “things to do” on this one clear-weather day.

Special thanks to @georgiarisa for coming out for a quick coffee/catch-up sesh despite having mountains of stuff to do, and for suggesting this little quaint cafe — @miamia_tokyo

Super friendly staff, good coffee, with lots of goodies on sale, from plants and coffee beans to merch and more.

By now you’ve noticed how I love small coffee shops. It’s a very straightforward spot away from the crowd. It’s freeing and I can be more creative.

Chapel Coffee is a hidden spot that many aren’t aware of. They’re a specialty coffee shop serving espresso drinks that came from beans they roast themselves.

While I was talking to the owner, our conversation lead to the physical coffee magazines. I noticed the magazines have more information about coffee shops from a different city than in San Francisco.

In fact, I saw these magazines during my cafe trips to Bangkok and Copenhagen. Only one Drift Magazine featuring San Francisco cafes that I saw at Amsterdam, and this made me happy because I live here.

Maybe this can be a spark of an idea to anyone thinking of creating a single or biannual magazine showcasing San Francisco cafes. It will be a nice addition to your cafe’s book collection or at your home 🤗

The shades blend, from indigo to cerulean, and the soul loses itself in the infinite silence. A delicate sky blue emerges where the sky touches the earth, while the limpid azure catches the morning light. A symphony of tones that turns matter into pure breath. js.

Relaxing after class with my favorite @starbucks drink: an oat milk latte, cold with no ice. I’ve tried to recreate this drink at home, but so far haven’t been able to figure it out 😅 Gonna keep trying until I get it someday! 🥰What’s your favorite coffee beverage? 💗
