Step Into 𝙀𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙖: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙒𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚
For this year’s Nuit Blanche, TDT welcomes multidisciplinary artist Blessyl Buan (@drblessyl) as our guest choreographer for this premiere presentation of her new site-responsive work at Toronto’s Old City Hall.

October 3–4, 2026 | 7 PM–7 AM
📍 Old City Hall, 60 Queen St W
🎟️ Free public performance and installation all night!

Ephemera: The Art We Didn’t Make transforms Old City Hall into a living archive of unfinished dreams — exploring abandoned ideas, unrealized expression, and the creative lives that are interrupted, deferred, or left waiting to be witnessed.

Through choreography, sound, and an evolving participatory installation, dancers move through a shifting landscape of fragments, shadows, gestures, and accumulated offerings. Over the course of 12 hours, the work transforms as audiences contribute their own reflections, becoming an ecosystem of witnessing where unrealized ideas are given space to grow.

Featuring TDT company dancers Camil Bellefleur (@camiondiesel), Fletch (@millinafletcher), Megumi Kokuba (@megumikokuba), Ry Kostyniuk (@rybration), Roberto Soria (@robertoooo0oo), and Elizabeth Yip (@elizabeth__yip).

Presented in collaboration with Nuit Blanche Toronto (@nuitblancheto)

Welcoming Jontae McCrory (@jontaemccrory) for their Pilot Episodes residency this week✨

Detroit-born and now based in Montreal, Jontae is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersections of contemporary dance, filmmaking, and culture through embodied storytelling. Rooted in Black queer futurity and ritual, their work explores movement as both personal and collective memory — creating spaces for liberation, connection, and reimagines belonging for queer and BIPOC communities.

Curious about what unfolds during their residency? Join us for an informal open rehearsal and step into the creative process as it happens. These studio gatherings offer a rare glimpse into the questions, experiments, and ideas that shape new work, with a chance to hear directly from Jonate and share reflections.

🗓 Friday, May 8, 2026
🕟 4:30–5:30 PM (please arrive 15 minutes early)
📍 Winchester Street Theatre, 80 Winchester Street
🎟 Free — RSVP via link in bio

Please note: this is an open rehearsal, not a finished performance. You’ll be joining an active process in motion.

Pilot Episodes is an immersive one week residency series where choreographers collaborate with the TDT ensemble for the first time. Artists are invited to experiment, take risks, and explore new directions—without the pressure of producing a final work.

We’re thrilled to welcome David Norsworthy-Shibatani (@david.norsworthy.shibatani) as the facilitator for 𝙀𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 - 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 2026 ❤️‍🔥

A Tkarón:to/Toronto-based dance artist, choreographer, and Co-Artistic Director of TOES FOR DANCE, David has launched nationally-reaching education initiatives and hyper-local audience and artist development projects and is driven by the transformative power of dancing. His collaborative choreographic practice explores connection, co-creation, consent, and community through interactive experiences and score-based improvisation.

“I am looking forward to witnessing what lo, Brigita, Siwar, and Driftnote have been working on, and to facilitating a conversation that both gives our audience a portal into the artists’ processes, and also serves to inform and support what the artists are working on! I love the courageous tenderness of sharing works-in-process and find a lot of delight in the potential for discerning and honest conversation in that space of possibility.”

Six Shooter Record’s is proud to release “Saputjiji”, the newest record by the legendary @tanyatagaq

Pertinent for our troubling times, Saputjiji (Sa-put-yee-yee), which means designated protector, is a potent counter-strike against billionaires, genocide, abuse and colonial systems.

Produced by Sumach and Jean Martin, the songs and sounds of Saputjiji have drift between violent confrontation and ethereal dirges. Put the record on now and hear for yourself. Just know, Saputjiji smells good, like burnt gunpowder, notes of deet and two-stroke engine exhaust. Stand at attention, breathe it in.

Shop and listen via the link in our bio.
