POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We continue a tradition that means so much to us: giving back to the children and families of the region. 🌍❤️

Every year, your support becomes school supplies, resources and opportunities for children who are determined to learn and build a better future.

This year, the words of the students of Kouvon reminded us why this work matters:

“Because of these gifts, many students of Kouvom are able to succeed more easily at school. We promise that with your gifts, we will work very hard. Thank you, and may God bless you.”

These are more than donations. They are a message to these children that people across the world believe in them and their future.

None of this would be possible without everyone who has donated, supported, shared and continued to believe in this mission. You know who you are.

What a beautiful day spent with community of all ages doing something wonderful for the planet and our health. Drilling logs for shiitake, maitake, reishi and lion’s mane at the new center @1st_church_of_mycology and drinking @drinkase all day. Absolutely clean and delicious. Sourced in a pure way that gives back to Africa. Eating delicious food. I love this community

Thank you for:
the sweet and yummy mushroom elixir @drinkase ☕️
the best cold coconuts ever @__.cocobearorganic.__ from @erikcasano 🥥
@kushmir92 for letting us help in the garden 🪴
@windsouled for teaching us about mushrooms and letting us be your sous chef 🧑‍🍳
@wisdomfromwater for showing us how to make raw date balls 🍪
@tlaliandkids for guiding us through some fun nature based art projects 🔨
AND everyone who made this event so incredibly special for our kids and the community!

It is so healing for our children to put their hands in the soil and connect with the earth… For them to care for the plants and learn more about where their food comes from. We are so grateful for these opportunities and can’t wait for more!

A couple weeks ago I found a beautiful community, @superbloom.collective. It was such a nice day filled with new friends who were all here to connect and just come as you are.
A lot of people say that people in LA only care about themselves. I’ve heard this so many times and I think what it comes down to is what type of energy are you putting out into your world? If you believe that everyone in LA is trying to take your job or talk behind your back then it’s probably going to happen.

But what if you changed your mindset and opened yourself up to your community? What if you started putting yourself out there and found events like this and realize that there have been amazing people all around you this whole time and you just had to open your eyes?
The past year or so I’ve been able to connect with new communities like this all around LA and I have met so many amazing people and it’s because I’ve allowed myself to open up to these opportunities. To say yes, to go alone (or bring a friend!) and just see what unfolds. That’s one of the beauties of life. To go into something not fully knowing what will happen and watch it unfold.
Thank you @superbloom.collective for creating such a beautiful space 💜✨
