Happy Sunday!

I’m late to this trend because I have imposter syndrome and can’t decide if I even like any of these 😬 Trying to remind myself not to compare my posts to other pages.
Sincerely, a SAHM mom with very little time, seemingly very little brain cells nowadays, just trying her best (postpartum is hard.)

Also “support the local libraries” sounded funnier when I made it but now I’m annoyed by it 😂

*gestures at everything* Very busy lately but getting things settled into a schedule (and finishing up editing all the many posts I need to get up).
.
But for today let us just enjoy the simple joy of a pretty series. Because bright colors are awesome to begin with but double so when the books are also so cute it's almost sickening. (But not really)

💛 Riley Morris wants to become a Broadway director. Current problem though? The Spring show is cancelled and she needs it back. On top of that she's stuck working at her dad's game shop. Luckily Nathan Wheeler (the geeky guy from school) is her coworker. He agrees to help her in exchange for her help making his gamer girl crush jealous (and if her ex gets jealous too all the better). Fake dating, though, means joining his DnD games. But nobody ever told her how fun they could be, or how cute Nathan is starting to look.

💜 Quinn Norton is the new girl at school and what better way to make friends than to join a DnD group. Bonus because the super cute Logan Weber is in the group as well. It's a bit more challenging though because the group livestreams their games and they have rules. No phones, and no dating. But that's easy to avoid as it turns out Logan is way annoying and all they end up doing is bickering. Except maybe their bickering is a little too forced, and Logan is looking at her a little too often.

🩷 Hazel Buchanan has a plan for senior year. Be the best color guard captain AND the best dungeon master. It's all smooth sailing until her ex best friend (and crush) Max Coleman moves back to town and invades every part of her life. He's on the team, in the game, and on her nerves. But did the old feelings truly die?

One thing we’ve noticed…

Many small business owners and self-employed professionals handle their own bookkeeping simply because they’ve never had the right support.

It works… until business gets busy.

That’s why we’re starting locally in Glendale—helping businesses keep their books organized so they can spend more time on the work that actually grows their business.

☀️ Summer Vibing ☀️
.
.
"Break one rule, and the next one bends. Not because you're reckless, but because you're curious."
.
I love collections, anthologies, confessions, etc and the vibes of this one between the blurb and chatting with @joseph.adam.lee, well color me intrigued. And I was gifted with a copy and a cute little note.
.
But after the first paragraph? Oh immediately invested in finishing it in one go, couldn't put it down, absolutely 'just one more.' It's a short read but it packs a punch. It's chaotic (as promised), but also dark, beautiful, and funny.
.
Full review coming as soon as I take this book on a field trip to LA. For reasons. 📸
.
.
In this jagged collection of essays and confessions, Joseph Adam Lee puts everything on the table. Poetic, gritty, and darkly satirical, these tales move through botched drug busts, shattered sinks, squatter messiahs, and family secrets wrapped in VHS neon and duct tape. In the aftermath of each misadventure, Lee cuts through the illusions of prestige, faith, and romance. What remains is a raw portrait of becoming- messy, defiant, and unmistakably human.

Today's reading beverage - strawberry matcha with a strawberry smoothie base and hazelnut syrup.
.
Inspired but way too many strawberries in the fridge. So while @drinkmadcha is fantastic on it's own, I tell myself today it was also for my health as I stuck as many strawberries into my blender as would fit for the base.
