A fresh take on brunch inspired by Nigerian cuisine and flavours 🍞🍳🍲

We had the chance to experience @ahinke_taste_of_nigeria . A unique fusion of traditional Nigerian ingredients with familiar favourites. From eggs benedict, sliders, French toast, pasta, each dish offered a creative twist.

What we tried:
•Jollof rice arancini
•Jollof spghetti with chicken
•Meat poutine with peppersoup gravy
•Curry rice with crispy chicken
• Suya bacon eggs benedict
•Suya chicken sliders
•Plantain french toast
•House made mocktails

It was such an honor to try so many of @ahinke_taste_of_nigeria's dishes! @kunbijesse has curated a menu with so much love and passion behind it. I had never tried Nigerian food before, so a Nigerian brunch felt like a fun and unique introduction. Ahinke's brunch is full of flavour, colour, and is in a complete lead of its own that it's hard not to enjoy it. My favourites are definitely plantain paradise French toast, all of the mocktails, and the Jolloff Arancinis were big stand outs. Already looking forward to our next visit and seeing what Kunbi comes up with next!

We tried one of Calgary’s most unique Nigerian-Canadian fusion spots @ahinke_taste_of_nigeria and every dish surprised us in the best way in a lovely family style 👀🍽️✨

From the crispy Jollof Rice Arancini to the flavorful jollof spaghetti, AHINKE blends Nigerian flavors with comfort food classics so well. The Meat Pie Poutine was packed with savory goodness, the benedict brought the perfect brunch twist, and the chicken sandwich was crispy + juicy perfection 🤤 lastly we shared some refreshing drinks and that’s perfect combo with the food!

And of course… we had to end with desserts 🍰✨
We learnt a lot of fun and touching stories from the owner and also stories behind each dish and you should definitely check this spot out!

If you’re looking to switch up your unique warm family and friends gathering spots in Calgary, definitely add AHINKE Restaurant to your list.
