Matchmaker of preloved and party host @rereredux shall be my designation moving forward cause… Plenty of items were sold before redux weekend @objects.re and even after?! Several eager beavers slipped into my DMs, and some came on the actual day hunting for a particular booth. Even after the event came to a close, sales were made! My job is done!!! 🤭 Floor plan layout is liken to a table setting at a party! Who shall I pair up to share a table? Or put next to each other? Will they vibe? Enjoy each other’s company? Have a lovely conversation? Witnessed numbers and IG handles being exchanged and that made my heart sing. 🥹 My fav moments are when the kampong spirit is on full display. Swapping spots to give another the space they need, helping to build each other’s racks, selling wares on another’s behalf cause some could only commit to a day while others the weekend. They didn’t have to, but they did, and that made all the difference. 🥰 This edition hosted more than 500 pax, incredibly grateful for the mentions by @f__zine @voguesingapore @timeoutsg cause a tourist came (we were all scrambling for cash) and it was because ChatGPT told her to!!!

@teasantokyo is a caffeine-free Japanese tea brand that started because of @keikapanda ’s own caffeine sensitivity and upbringing in Japan. While the rest of the world settled for chamomile and peppermint, she realized that Japan had over a hundred caffeine-free teas that had never left the country. And now, Teasan is the only brand outside of Japan that sell these teas. She’ll be serving two launch blends as sparkling, iced, or hot, and her first hand-filled batch will be available for pre-order at the @rereredux this weekend!

Every now and then, it’s worth looking up from your own work and celebrating the people who make creating feel worthwhile. I love “outdoing one another in showing honour” and believe we can do much more of that in our local community. These are a few Singapore studios, shops and makers whose work has resonated with me, and whose ideas quietly remind me why I started sloglo. Thank you to: • @objects.re • @intheb00nies • @drinkteasan • @thisisfireplace • @atthesideway & @kenethtan Thank you for creating thoughtfully, building generously, and showing that there’s room for slower, more intentional design in Singapore. I’d love to know: who else should I be following?
