Weekend Getaways from Chicago | Ep. 1: Grand Rapids, Michigan ✨

The perfect weekend getaway from Chicago? Grand Rapids — we planned to use it as a base and drive around, but ended up spending most of the weekend there.

This is your sign to do a 48-hour Grand Rapids road trip from Chicago. It’s close, easy, and way more charming than I expected.

Our Grand Rapids itinerary:

🚗 Friday: left Chicago in the afternoon, stopped in New Buffalo for boutique browsing + an early dinner, then drove into Grand Rapids.
🛍 Day 1: brunch at Terra, coffee at the Bradbury, boutique-hopping on Wealthy Street, dinner at Gin Gins, nightcap at Drip Drop.
☕️ Day 2: coffee at Le Bon Macaron, more cute boutiques, then an easy drive home.

Honest take: adorable boutiques, high-quality stylish clothing, the nicest people, top-notch food/coffee/drinks, and idyllic streets everywhere. Such a perfect contrast to big-city Chicago.

Would you spend a whole weekend in Grand Rapids? Save this + send it to your road trip bestie 🤍
