We are looking for tattoo artists, piercers, massage therapists, and other somatic practitioners to join our team. Apply through the link on our bio to become a guest or a resident 💌

Slide 3: Who Are We?
FORT is a non-profit, sober, trans-run, consent-led & trauma-informed tattoo/piercing studio in North London.

We welcome artists from all backgrounds & identities, though we give priority to individuals part of the LGBTQIA+ community, those who are PoC, and those with intersections of marginalisation.

Because we are non-profit, this enables us to keep bed rental rates far cheaper than the market average! All funds received by FORT go back into sustaining the studio, and to keeping this as a base for the livelihood of trans artists.

Slide 5: Guesting. Guest Day Rate= 20% of earnings with a minimum of £40 per day.

We are open Monday to Sunday, 10:30am to 7:00pm.

You can apply to guest at FORT at: moat.fort.london/applications/new (or follow the link in our bio).
The FORT residency team collaboratively reviews applications on a rolling basis and in accordance with our Code of Conduct (available at fort.london/pages/code-of-conduct). We strongly recommend reading these before applying.
We require all those interested in becoming residents to Guest undergo a guest spot, and from there your application can be upgraded to resident.

FORT is turning 2!

With this flash day, we'd like to celebrate every single effort our community has made to create more trans joy in the past 2 years.

With the UK bathroom policies becoming increasingly hostile toward trans folk, it feels fitting to focus on something we have been planning for a while. So, the proceedings of the day will go into funding an accessible bathroom within our building, which will hopefully bring more comfort and safety to your visits to our studio.

Come along to our flash day to get some tattoos from us and get pierced by the wonderful Alex (they/them) @hoodpierced.

Expect a vegan birthday cake, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks on the day! 🎂

Please note, this will be a ticketed event.
Tickets give you a spot to drop in either 11AM-3PM or 3:30PM-7:30PM.

Since we’ve had an odd amount of requests about it lately… please do NOT ask a trans artist for a harry potter tattoo. It seems crazy that we have to explain this but here goes !
(Slide 2)
JK Rowling, author of Harry Potter, has since 2018 been a vocal advocate for anti-trans hate campaigns.
She has repeatedly and loudly announced her support for self-named ’gender critical groups’ which use the guise of feminism to eradicate trans rights in the UK (1). Just a few weeks ago, she contributed £70,000 to the group Women Scotland for the Equality Act case at the UK Supreme Court, which has given institutions the right to prohibit trans peoples access to single sex public spaces (2).

When you financially to contribute to the Harry Potter empire, you directly fund anti-trans hatred.
The popularisation of transphobic media narratives has led to their use in justifying anti-trans legislation (3). This real-life violence; in 2021-2022 police-recorded transphobic hate crimes increased by 57% (4), and anti-trans legislation have been found to directly correlate with trans teen suicides in the US (5).
When you get HP tattoos you participate in the marketing and promotion of the HP empire.

At Fort, we refuse to be complicit in the systematic violence against the transgender and minority communities. DO NOT ASK US FOR HARRY POTTER TATTOOS.
