A special moment from @audrainconcours reuniting two cars that have not been together in over 15 years! Both vehicles, a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL, and 2009 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren were purchased new by the same owner finished in an Ivory shade called “Elfenbein”. In 2009 Mercedes only built four “paint to sample” SLR’s, this example being the only one finished in “Elfenbein” to match the 300SL. An incredible moment getting both cars back together for a photoshoot after the supercar concours concluded on Saturday!

One of the highlights of @audrainconcours Motorweek is The Gathering at Rough Point. Where the spirit of the automobile is shared with the most passionate of enthusiasts in one of the most iconic settings. @audrainautomuseum has done a fantastic job bringing the automotive worlds attention to an event that although still in its early years feels historic already. Hoping this is a tradition that continues to add great depth to the offerings in our little state.
.
This year the gathering offered a notable collection of outstanding Aston Martin, some absolutely world class early 911s including 2 @rodemory gems. @czinger_vehicles brought 2 stunning works of art and the JDM representation with classic and vintage Nissans and Datsuns absolutely holding their own.
.
The Gathering is absolutely about meeting people and I made a point to reach out to people who I had wanted to meet and enjoyed done great conversations. Several other times conversations just happen over admiration for the automobiles in attendance. And then of course getting to enjoy the time with the usual suspects of the local Cars&Coffee round table.
.
You all know who you are, 💯❤️

The McLaren 675 LT Spyder is one of my favorite semi-modern supercars I have ever driven. When you ride motorcycles it’s hard to feel alive with modern cars but this car delivers like no other. Full video on the Audrain YouTube channel comparing it to a 992.2 Touring and a Ferrari F12. All three cars have similar performance and are closely priced in the current market. Special thanks to my friend @alecsgarage for sharing his cars with me!
