after a few days of reflection and getting back to regular life, I was able to go through more photos and feel the need to share them. this post is such a beautiful little window to look at my friends, their cars, the places we went, and the driving we did.

trying to explain this event to someone who has no grasp on it would be impossible. the whole week is such a powerful roller coaster of emotions and in all the chaos of it, it’s the most amazing thing, and to be able to return here year after year is truly a gift

2000 miles in my drift car and quality time with the coolest people i couldn’t ask for more ❣️

i say this all the time and it sounds lame, but this goofy little car really changed my life for the better.

this community know no bounds when it comes to passion and just really enjoying the simple things. i’ve met so many people and crossed countless paths while just driving around it’s honestly unbelievable!

i may not know you or your name but we share the same love for the game and probably the same car lol

long live the mazda miata and happy 30th to the best miata gathering in the world @gapmiatas ! thanks for keeping the spirit alive and giving us a place to create lifelong memories and friendships all because we have the same silly little car

Oh, MATG, you have a special place in my heart. If I could describe this event to anyone, it would be a drivers' paradise mixed with like-minded people. There is so much to do with so little time, so many people to meet, and drives to go on. I swear I had so many plans, and they just went out the window because I was having so much fun with my friends. You'd need a whole week, maybe two, to talk to everyone and go on all the drives. You'll never meet a more wonderful group of people. Everyone is there for the same purpose: to have fun in the mountains and make new friends. I'm leaving this event with a whole group of new lifelong friends that I was not expecting, and we got to take a day and just explore Gatlinburg after the event finished, and I couldn't be happier with that. Until next year, we all will definitely be back!
