Jude and Emilia meet up in a park by the Brisbane River. They once meant the world to each other. Then, life put a great distance between them. Can the distance be crossed? Mortis Memoria tells a story of memory, love, and regret at the end of the line. _________________________ Mortis opens as part of Playground Festival tomorrow night. This short play is a very big play, for me. And I hope, for the audiences who come and see it. Three times it has been ‘finished,’ and three times it has had more to tell me. Watching it come to life in the careful hands of this creative team has been such an overwhelming, humbling, and remarkable experience. Thom and Lani have been integral to its development, not just in this version, but spanning across all three iterations. Theirs were the first voices to read it aloud, and now they are as much a part of it as I am. Danny, Jayme, Reina, and Ian, I cannot thank you enough for the care you have put into this. I have had the utmost faith in this team from the beginning. Thom, Lani and I have been so lucky to have you on board. And to the team at Underground Theatre Company, thank you for giving us this experience. This will always Mean the Most. _____________________ Playground Festival Friday 25th September: 7:00pm Saturday 26th September: 1:00pm, 7:00pm Sunday 27th September: 1:00pm Backbone Festival Saturday 3rd October: 4:30pm Ticket link in bio.

HOT TUB, Ad Astra, August 2026 An infinitely joyful experience with infinitely wonderful people on an infinitely incredible text, bonkers and heartfelt and imaginative and hysterical and heartbreaking. Immensely proud of this one, of the talented folks I got to work with and the beautiful thing we made together. (Photos: @saen_sunderland)

Lewis Treston’s Hot Tub has wowed audiences, had them laughing, and apparently convinced Brisbane that this is one hot tub worth getting into. We’re officially SOLD OUT for the rest of the season, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who filled the seats and made this run so special. Closing night tomorrow. What a way to go out.
