Compliant-Looking Isn't the Same as Right!
An AI-written goal can sound perfect and still fail the kid it's for.

Clean condition, tidy percentage. But the percentage was invented, and the goal reads the same as the last three students with that same label.

AI doesn't know your kid. It knows the pattern. That's why SR Learning Designs was even created; we help educators move from doing things correctly to doing the right things.

What do you tell a parent who asks?
If a parent asked whether AI touched their child’s IEP, could your staff answer in one sentence? Most can’t. That’s not a training gap, it’s a trust problem.

Your student’s data is already leaving the building! Do you know what’s in the prompts your staff are typing right now? When teachers type a kids evaluation details into a public AI tool, that data doesn’t just disappear. It can be stored.
Myth: if a tool is sold to schools, it’s already FERPA compliant. Nope, that’s not an automatic!

Nobody posts this part of coaching.
Not the framework. Not the slides. The part before any of that, where you sit with someone’s problem long enough to actually understand it.
That’s most of what a strategy session is. Listening without judgement and rushing to fix. Asking one more question instead of handing over an immediate answer. Pausing before you respond, because the first thing that comes to mind is rarely the most useful thing.
It’s not always serious. But it is always intentional. This is what it looks like when a plan turns into a play!
