What a wonderful Sunday traveling across Orange County and worshipping with our faith communities at St. Mark AME Church, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, St. Paul AME Church, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

I was grateful to share the day with so many friends and community leaders, including Clerk of Court candidate Roberta Walton Johnson, Rep. Rashad Young, Interim Clerk of Court Joyce Boudoin, State Attorney Monique Worrell, District 2 Commission candidate Kamia Brown, District 6 Commissioner Mike Scott and Dr. LaVon Wright Bracy.

Thank you to each congregation for the warm welcome, fellowship and opportunity to connect.

There’s nothing like Sunday in our community!

Don’t forget, early voting starts tomorrow! There are 27 locations across Orange County where you can vote from 8am to 8pm.

Dr. LaVon Wright Bracy was one of the first three African-American students to integrate Gainesville High School in 1964. Her courage helped pave the way for generations of students who came after her.

She’s also a huge University of Miami fan, so I thought it was especially dope that she had the opportunity to meet Clinton Portis, who graduated from Gainesville High School and went on to play at the University of Miami.

What a beautiful full-circle moment, someone who helped open doors getting to meet someone who walked through one of those doors.

From policy to the pavement. Closing out Saturday in deep strategy and community alignment.

A strong community campaign isn’t fought behind a podium it’s executed on the ground. This week was about mastering every angle of local representation.

Connecting with faith leaders, advocates, and neighborhood voices across Florida who are on the front lines fighting for economic justice, accessible representation, and stronger local infrastructure.

Real progress requires sustained, collective work.
