Had the absolute BEST time at Dr. Molly's Howloween Pawty at her clinic The Local Vets in Franklin. We are absolutely obsessed with this office and the incredible lengths this team goes through to make every single experience amazing. They care about you and your pets SO MUCH. I can not thank you all for making us feel so welcome and loved. Leo got so many compliments on his Ghost Host costume!
Dr. Molly...you truly went above and beyond. The tote bags we got to to trick o treating with was such a great idea, the raffle and yummy snacks... Leo couldn't get enough of the BARKcuterie table and we loved both having a sweet treat together at the end outside! You out did yourself and we can not thank you enough. We are thrilled to have you as our doctor. Thank you so much again for hosting such a wonderful event for our furbabies.

From my first dog Bridget to Kendall and Maggie, and now Lilly and Laken - it's hard to imagine my life without a Lab in it. The bond between our pets enriches us, supports our mental health and helps kids thrive.

Did you wait to spay your dog, or did you choose to spay earlier? 🐾💗 Pearl was spayed at 6 months, but after learning more about breed-specific research thanks to and discussing it with our vet @drmollysays , we’ve decided to wait until Poppi is around 2 years old to allow more time for growth and development!

Every dog is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. 🫶🏻

Trigger warning-Domestic violence: While domestic violence has not happened to me directly, I know several friends who haven't been so fortunate. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Less than 20% of shelters in America accept pets. 48% of domestic violence survivors report not leaving an abuse situation sooner because they couldn't take pets with them and over 70% of abuse survivors report that their abuser threatened, injured or killed their pet to control them. This needs to change. We are not sponsored by any organization but we believe in doing our part to ensure that anyone leaving an abusive relationship should be able to bring pets with them. Pets are family and a source of love, unconditional acceptance and healing. At a time when that's needed more than ever, a survivor shouldn't have to choose between safety and family.
