I am excited to announce my commitment to the University of Miami to continue my academic and athletic career in cross country and track and field.

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has made this journey possible, including my family, my friends and my coaches.

I want to thank Coach Wilk for this incredible opportunity. Go Canes!

In my Freelancing for Creative Professionals course at the @uofsc, students spent the semester developing their brands. To celebrate their work, I made custom shirts for each student at the end of the semester. I also asked one of my students, Julia Spies, to lead a photoshoot for the class—and she absolutely delivered.
I’m proud of this group. Most of them graduated this weekend, so…..I’m happy and sad…at the same time. 😁😔

’Twas the night before Christmas in Columbia town,
And the Gamecocks were stirring, no sleeping around.
The helmets were polished, the garnet shined bright,
With dreams of packed Willy B roaring all night.

The cleats were hung neatly by lockers with care,
In hopes that new leaders soon would be there.
For Beamer had loaded his sleigh with fresh minds,
New coaches, new energy, winning designs.

Deion Barnes stood tall with the edge group in tow,
Teaching speed off the corner and how to bend low.
Relentless and fiery, the standard was clear:
“Win every rep—your moment is here.”

Kendal Briles drew plays in the glow of the light,
Mismatches and motion dancing all night.
Tempo and spacing, stress spread wide,
A Gamecock offense ready to fly.

Randy Clements barked with a veteran’s tone,
Building tough linemen, brick by brick, stone by stone.
Hands inside, pads low, finish the fight,
The trenches would belong to garnet by night.

Mike Furrey coached ball in the air,
Details and discipline everywhere.
Routes crisp, timing true, no room for mistake,
Every catch something defenses would hate.

The staff all aligned, one voice, one goal,
Develop, recruit, and control the whole.
Culture was loud, belief was real,
This wasn’t hype—this was steel.

From Sandstorm’s roar to the 2001 blast,
The echoes of legends still lived in the past.
But Christmas Eve whispered what’s coming next:
A future being built, no footnotes, no asterisks.

So here’s to the Gamecocks, under lights bright,
With new coaches in place and the path in sight.
Merry Christmas, Columbia, let the warning ring true—
Spurs Up to all… and to all, Spurs Up. 🐓🎄
