This month’s show is gonna be a special one. Small Talk will be hosting the release of Earwax Magazine, with music from @drollmusic, @pomodoro.juice, returning from last month, and @_scar.crush_

It serves as a more thoughtful platform for the community to connect in our own unfiltered way, without having to think about what will or will not cut its way into the feed.“ - Alex Zahn, creator of Earwax Zine

Droll is undeniable in familiarity with infectious hooks to grasp onto, but subverts the listener’s expectations before they can get too comfortable. Always present is a playful eagerness to explore the love of songcraft set against the backdrop of driving energy and biting tones.

🚨🚨🚨OKAY EVERYONE I’m only going to post about this one time!!! I’ve been secretly putting a zine together because I’m tired of Instagram dictating who sees what, and I’m tired of opportunity being based on follower count. I also wanted a place for artists to express ideas freely without thinking twice about how it’s going to perform on an algorithm. The first issue will feature interviews with @drollmusic and @2_4_2_7 as well as full artwork, and a Lathe cut CD with a new single from Droll (works in your CD player, AND on your record player!) We’re throwing a show to celebrate the release of the March Issue. Future issues will not be advertised on any social media platform, but you can get updates by emailing earwaxphx@gmail.com
