Over the weekend we had the privilege of supporting Morgan and Emelie from @lingondill at The Jack 🍗

BBQ, whiskey, and a great time were had by all! The team even received a perfect score in the overall competition for the desserts category.

Danny and Shaun enjoyed meeting the team from Sweden in person and are excited to continue the collaboration via bbq pop-ups in 2027.

Stay tuned for more fun to come!

Honoring the life and the immeasurable impact of our mentor and friend, the legend @srwhiskymaster Steve Beal. Grateful for him, grateful for these gentlemen.

As his memorial service happens today at @gracecathedral, I post about my friend and spirits mentor of a couple decades, Steve Beal @srwhiskymaster.

Whisk(e)y master, priest and friend, he was one I could talk spirits and spirituality with, a friend of work and faith. He bravely faced pancreatic cancer and continued judging spirits, preaching, engaged in our community right until the end. It was a privilege to tribute him on stage at ADI's International Craft Spirits Conference in Miami in August.

It has been hard to post about him but today I tribute a friend who cared in my own cancer, irreparable losses, and tried to help. I cherish those last moments I had with him bedside at the hospital, the heartfelt connection and prayers. Bless you, Steve. See you on the other side.

A great evening at the invitation of @dronen to see the brilliant, creative Kate McKinnon interviewed by one of my favorite NPR hosts @guy.raz

Every medal this year started with these palates. Here's a first look at some of the judges attending Top Shelf 2026, and this is just the start! Keep watching for the rest of the faces you'll meet at this year's event.

08/09/2026 - World Baijiu Day!

On Sunday, team SHĀNG joined the San Francisco Baijiu Society at Riverside Seafood Restaurant for their 3rd annual banquet, and 10th anniversary as an organization.

Each guest brought a bottle of their favorite baijiu to share while feasting over a few hours. Much fun was had, and we appreciated the opportunity to share SHĀNG with this group of baijiu advocates!

It's so hard to say goodbye to Yesterday.
The good times that made us laugh (seeing Boyz II Men and feeling like we were in High School or Grade School for some)
Outweigh the bad (Linda dropping her phone in the water.

Great times last night at the @castatefair with amazing friends. Thank you to @g23matt for the amazing hospitality and to your staff for playing Scuba Steve. And to @boyziimen for still bringing it with your incredible voices and memories. And we even got a handshake from the unbelievably talented @wanyamorris.

Until the next adventure, this is the End of the Road.
