a lil proof that blocking your knits really is magic ✨

this is my finished @ozetta lakes vneck pullover!! I made a size XL (bc I wanted it nice and oversized) in the @noroyarns madara yarn in sake (everyone’s fave!!!!) I managed to snag 5 skeins from @droppedstitchchi and only needed about 1.25 skeins more to get the sweater completed (thank you @woolandcompany for pulling through!) now I have juuuuust enough left over to make some accessories :) I love her!!!!! I will be wearing NONSTOP!

Seattle & Chicago Haul Recap: Picked up a lot of yarn and some other knick knacks too! I’m so excited to knit or crochet with these yarns, and to level up my sewing game with these patterns from the Zero Waste Patterns book. ✨

It was great to stop by new and familiar stores from when I lived in Seattle (I miss being walking distance to Stitches!). I also got to catch up and explore the Seattle Recreative with @modernmeliora while I was in town. ☺️🫶🏼

Ended my 2 days on the @chicagoyarncrawl by knitting in a Chicago green space and repping my home lys @rebelleyarn

Trying a few new yarns, and got the last of the Pillowy DK from @just_nina_knits at @fireflyfiberarts 😭

It's some of my favorite yarn and I'm gonna have a nice T-shirt knit to teach in this fall. 💕

Thankful to my lovely fiancé for driving me all around Chicago in the crappy weather we had yesterday so that I could finally experience Yarn Crawl!!! Despite the rain we had so much fun exploring all the stores we went to!! 🧶 Definitely an adventure that I’ll always remember!

Pre-order your CYC totes from your local yarn shop! Pre-orders end July 18!

This year’s Chicago Yarn Crawl theme is Celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of Historic Route 66! This route stretched from Chicago to Santa Monica and defined an era of exploration that contributed to local communities along the highway.

Just like Rt. 66, Chicagoland yarn shops are connected by many roads, creating a thriving community. Join us this year as we celebrate exploration and our local fiber community!

This year’s CYC tote is designed by a local Chicago street artist, @austyuniverse , who combines their fun characters with the famous retro Rt 66 style.
