We had a blast doing Noodle House this year! 🍜✨

It’s been so rewarding watching new faces discover us and seeing a true "regulars" build up. After a long work week, we know your time and money are valuable and choosing how to spend a night off can feel like high stakes. Thank you for taking a chance on an independent, DIY option and bringing your friends along for the experience. We see you, and we appreciate every single one of you.

Noodle House has always been about genuine connection and bringing real socializing back to party culture, and fr all summer whenever staff would Kiki with y'all it was CLEAR you all really cared about mission. We’re using the off-season to level up and get organized so we can come back even stronger next year. We can’t wait! 🖤

If you loved what went down at Noodle House, this is actually just one of the fish in the big pond of what we do (lol🐟)! Noodle House is powered by @drowningfish.live . If you're not familiar, it's our collective running all kinds of events, from DJ dance nights and variety shows to interactive drop-in events. Everything we do is driven by the same exact goal: keeping things as affordable as possible, getting people outside, and helping you meet your neighbors.

This week @drowningfish.live takes over Open Decks at @kruschottawa at 2 Byward Market Square (above Grey’s on Clarence) with a showcase by @willow.ash.mourne and @t3ald33r from 10-1! There’s no cover, we have a free kandi table, and Polaroids are $5!

We have 6 slots available from 8-10 and 1-2, all EDM and adjacent genres are welcome, each DJ gets 30 minutes, and our setup is 2 CDJ 2000NXSs and a DJM A9 mixer. All you need to bring is a USB, headphones are available upon request. The A9 only has a 1/4” output, so make sure you have a 1/4” adapter if you’re bringing your own headphones

first show time!!
i’m absolutely elated to be debuting my project on the same bill as @doorstepfire for their first show in ottawa! opening with local activist speakers, this show is a true novelty ★

there will be an art sale* running throughout this event, showgoers are encouraged to take a peak!

this is a non-profit with the intention of raising funds to open a school for children in north jabalia, gaza after what has been nearly 3 years of colonial destruction—with over 90% of gaza’s schools damaged or completely leveled to the ground.
this money will be spent on infastructure, equipment (chairs, desks, stationery supplies etc), and a $350/month salary for staff members. the project is intended to run from september to february.
let’s show em the OVHC crowd can make a difference!!!!

Since October 7th 2023 over half a million Palestinian children and youth have had their schooling disrupted, with over 90% of schools being destroyed or damaged. Help us raise funds to help get displaced kids back in the classroom with the Palestine of Tomorrow School 3 project in Jabalia al-Nazla, a region currently suffering from a stark lack of resources and frequent Zionist violence because of its proximity to the IOF Yellow Line.

We'll have local activist speakers opening the night followed by Toronto punk band @doorstepfire on their Ottawa debut, with support from @andonmywayback, a new local emotional hardcore project. More guests TBA
