Braylen The Bear and Friends - Braylen Finds A Way

Braylen Bear has a problem. And so do his friend. They have a bully in their class. Braylen learns about the idea of stopping work in a strike to get someone to change their mind. He decides to get his other friends to strike during the recess baseball game and all walked away from the bully. He and his friends discover that sticking together and solving a problem together can work.

Sharing this with teachers to keep in mind when recess issues pop up. Will make a nice #literaturelasso to start a conversation about peaceful ways to solve a social issue. And I will also use when a young person is demonstrating bullying behaviors as a way to open the conversation.

Thanks Dr. Latonya M Peterson @drpretty10 for sharing this Braylen Bear story with me.

ATLANTA Area Bookish Community

Come Show Amiaya What YES Looks Like in Dunwoody!

YES DAY is an incredible organization founded by @jsonenshine and her dedicated team, to create extraordinary moments of joy for children and young adults facing life’s toughest challenges. One of their YES DAY kids, 13-year-old Amiaya Brown, lives with Sickle Cell Disease and is preparing for a bone marrow transplant. When asked what her YES DAY wish would be, she told them she wanted to be surrounded by books and people who came to see the book SHE wrote.

So Georgia, let’s make her wish come true!

We want Amiaya to arrive at Prelude and see a HUGE crowd waiting to meet HER.

You don’t need to buy or bring a thing - YES DAY is providing FREE copies of her book, Unassuming Superhero, for Amiaya to sign.

Stop by for 15 minutes or stay for the hour. Bring your kids, friends and neighbors and help us make Amiaya feel like the absolute STAR she is.

Let’s SHOW UP BIG for Amiaya!

🇺🇸😂 VETERANS… SOMEBODY SAID I’M TURNING INTO THE “WebMD” OF VA CONDITIONS!

And you know what?

I'M NOT EVEN MAD AT IT. 😂😂😂

Except over here, we're not searching one symptom and convincing you that you've got 72 hours left. 🤣

We're talking VA CONDITIONS and backing the education with:

📚 38 C.F.R.
🔢 VA Diagnostic Codes
📊 VA Rating Criteria
🩺 C&P Exam Education
🔗 Direct & Secondary Service Connection
🔥 Functional Loss & Flare-Ups
📁 Evidence that can help support your claim

Every day we're breaking down conditions veterans may not even realize VA can service connect or evaluate.

And the price?

💰 $0.00

No subscription.
No membership fee.
No “DM me and I'll tell you the secret.” 😂

I DON'T HAVE A SECRET.

THE REGULATIONS ARE PUBLIC — I'M JUST HELPING VETERANS UNDERSTAND THEM. 💯

So if somebody asks:

“Where can I learn about VA conditions?”

Tell them:

🔎 GO TO FACEBOOK
🔎 SEARCH: Manswell T Peterson

Then bring a chair because we have A LOT of conditions to cover. 😂🇺🇸

My mission hasn't changed:

HELP ANOTHER VETERAN.
SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE.
NO GATEKEEPING.

⚠️ Veteran education only — not medical or legal advice.

🇺🇸 OVER 500,000 VETERANS HELPED 🇺🇸

Let that sink in for a minute...

More than 500,000 veterans have been reached and helped through my DAILY VA CONDITIONS POSTS.

And the total cost to those veterans?

💰 $0.00.

No subscription.
No membership fee.
No paywall.
No consultation fee.
No secret group you have to pay to enter.

🚨 NO GATEKEEPING HERE.

If I learn something that can help another veteran understand the VA system, I'm going to SHARE IT.

If I find information about:

✅ VA disability conditions
✅ Rating criteria
✅ Secondary conditions
✅ C&P examinations
✅ Evidence that may strengthen a claim
✅ Appeals
✅ Aid & Attendance
✅ SMC
✅ TDIU
✅ Presumptive conditions
✅ PACT Act claims
✅ And other VA benefits...

I'm going to put it out there for veterans to READ, SAVE, SHARE, and USE.

Why?

Because KNOWLEDGE should not be locked behind a gate.

🇺🇸 VETERANS HELPING VETERANS.

That's what this has always been about.

I don't know everything.

I'm not a doctor.
I'm not an attorney.
I'm not your accredited VA representative.

But I can research.
I can educate.
I can share what I've learned.
And I can encourage veterans to ask better questions and become more informed about the benefits they've earned.

And when we discover something is wrong or outdated?

WE CORRECT IT.

Because accuracy matters more than pretending we're always right.

🔥 500,000+ VETERANS.

That isn't just a number to me.

That's potentially 500,000 veterans who learned something, asked another question, looked at their records differently, helped a fellow veteran, or discovered a benefit they didn't know existed.

And we're NOT FINISHED.

My goal is simple:

📚 EDUCATE VETERANS.
🤝 HELP VETERANS.
📢 SHARE INFORMATION.
🇺🇸 LEAVE NO VETERAN BEHIND.

And the price will remain exactly what it has been:

💰 $0.00.

NO GATEKEEPING HERE.

If this page has ever taught you something about VA benefits, help me reach the NEXT veteran.

👉 COMMENT
👉 SHARE
👉 INVITE ANOTHER VETERAN TO FOLLOW

One veteran learns it.
That veteran shares it.
Another veteran benefits from it.

THAT'S HOW WE WIN TOGETHER.

My goal was to donate 25 books… but WE donated 30!!!🥹📚💖

Last month, I set out with a simple goal: to spread a little joy to children at a local shelter through the gift of books.

I shared a post, and some incredibly kind and talented women answered the call. The beautiful part? I’ve never met these women. We didn’t know each other. They simply saw the post, understood how much joy a book can bring to a child, and decided to help. 🥹💗

Because of their generosity, we didn’t just reach our goal of 25 books…we exceeded it and donated 30!👏🏿

And did I mention that ALL of these amazing donors are children’s book authors?! 📚✨ So much talent and heart in one group…and one of our donors is even a 7-year-old author! How incredible is that?! 🥹

To each of these amazing women: THANK YOU for helping Ms. Zita bring a little extra joy to some very deserving little learners. I am so incredibly appreciative of your kindness and generosity. 💖

And thank you to everyone who liked, shared, reposted, or told someone about the book drive. Every share helped spread the word and ultimately helped this post reach the generous hearts who made this possible. 💕

25 was the goal. 30 was the blessing 📚

Xo,
Ms. Zita 💖

Well, we had to play a major Tetris game to fit everything on our dining room table. Watch till the end so you can see everything that was donated!

32 books.
4 stuffed animals.
Pencils.
Stickers.
Book marks.
Crayons.
Coloring books.
Games.
Bracelets.
Puzzles.
Crafts.
Paint.
Trains.
Birdhouses.
✨ Cards and notes with the sweetest and most encouraging words. ✨

We can’t thank you all enough for being so kind to people you don’t even know.

Thank you, thank you for being a part of it and making it possible to refill the Ferrari families library but most of all, to put smiles on their 3 little children’s faces.

We are delivering them this coming Friday, August 14th.

If you haven’t had a chance to deliver yours or you simply forgot, there’s still time! 📦
