Dr. Saumya T Gautam is a Cape Town-based medical doctor and aesthetic medicine specialist, recognised for her holistic, science-driven approach to skin health and rejuvenation. She co-founded S&S Aesthetics with her husband, plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Siddharth Gautam, combining advanced technology with personalised care to deliver natural-looking results.

Originally from India, Dr. Saumya completed her medical studies in Mumbai and furthered her training through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. In 2025, she became the first doctor in Africa to introduce the groundbreaking Alma Hybrid laser technology, advancing skin rejuvenation and scar treatment on the continent.

A former Mrs. India South Africa, Dr. Saumya is also a beauty influencer, public figure and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her work has earned international recognition, including the Africa and Asia Award 2026 for Aesthetic Medicine Excellence.

A little skin update ❤️

I posted last night about how much my skin has healed and improved since my last laser treatment @sands_aesthetics , and honestly, I’m so happy with the progress.

But the treatment is only part of it. I actually followed the protocol this time. I stayed out of the sun while my skin was healing, wore sunscreen, used the right products, and gave my skin the time it needed to recover.

A huge thank you to @drsaumyatg and @dr_sid_gautam for getting my skin back on track.

Normally, coming to Bali means the combination of harsh sun, humidity and pollution absolutely destroys my skin. This time, I’m here enjoying Bali and actually seeing my skin looking better, not worse.

The difference is taking care of your skin properly, not just treating it when something goes wrong.

So yes, I’m enjoying the sun ☀️
Just doing it properly.

And doing it from @lareserve1785 Hotel makes it a little easier.
