But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from her, it’s this: Strength is not in never falling — it is in rising every single time. Today, watching her dress up again, stand up again, and choose life again feels nothing short of witnessing a phoenix rise from its ashes. Step by step. Pain by pain. Prayer by prayer. She is walking again. She is healing again. She is becoming again. And in her, I see the truest meaning of resilience: Life can bend you. Life can break you. My journey to Everest Base Camp was driven by a quiet, aching pull in my soul, as the Everest herself whispered my name!
Each step was a conversation with myself, every gust of wind a reminder of how far I was from the warmth of my mother’s arms.
The raw and overwhelming silence of the Himalayas ensured I felt the warmth of my family not as a memory but as a presence woven into every prayer flag and snow-laced peak.
The mountains didn’t just test me, they held me as they witnessed my pain, my loneliness, and my longing, and in return, they offered a kind of love that was fierce and ancient.
Nature wrapped me in a quiet embrace, becoming the mother I missed, the father I mourned, and the sanctuary I didn’t know I needed.
And in the stillness between the peaks, I found myself—not just stronger, but softer, held by the earth, and whole in a way I had never known before.
This is a living proof that when we follow the call of our spirit and step beyond the familiar, we don’t just conquer a trail, we conquer a part of ourselves!
