POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our first ever Guelph Queer Service Provider Fair! Despite rescheduling; despite the rain; despite any hurdles, YOU all made this a phenomenal event and the best day. It was so beautiful to hear the Farmers’ Market filled with chatter as folks connected, and the warmth as everyone made new friends and built their communities was palpable ✨

Thank you to @katsavic for believing in my vision and making this a possibility in the first place; thank you @kaitlinknowsmortgages for the inspiration; and thank you to Victoria, Cammy, Briar and the whole team at 10C for all of your care and support.

Shout out to @__d3viphotography for capturing the sweetest memories and moments as always ❤️

See you next year? 😉

When the excitement of the idea of family creation sets in, we want to make sure that we are as ready as we can possibly be. So if you are hoping to carry a pregnancy, ask your doctor for a day three hormone blood panel so you can be ready to begin!

What does perimenopause have to do with fertility? More than you might think. 🌈
When people hear the word perimenopause, they often assume it has nothing to do with trying to conceive. But hormones don't suddenly become important when you start fertility treatment—they've been influencing your reproductive health all along.
In this week's episode of the becoming babyREADY podcast, I sit down with naturopathic doctor Dr. Sheila to talk about optimizing your health before pregnancy. We discuss hormone testing, thyroid health, vitamin deficiencies, and how understanding what's happening in your body can help you enter your fertility journey feeling more informed and prepared.
Dr. Sheila also shares their own deeply personal experience with egg retrieval and IVF as they work toward creating their own family—a reminder that even healthcare professionals experience the uncertainty, hope, and vulnerability of this path.
Whether you're considering IVF, IUI, donor conception, reciprocal IVF, or simply thinking about growing your family, this conversation is packed with practical information and compassionate insight.

🎙 Practice Update

This week on The Tranquil Mind, I’m sharing an important update about my practice and what it means for your care.

I’ll be moving to BC, and as of July 1st, my Ontario practice will be fully online. In this episode, I walk you through what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and how to move forward with a clear plan.

You’ll also meet Dr. Sheila Dyer, who will be seeing patients in person at Norfolk Wellness.

Transitions can feel like a lot, even when they’re positive. My goal is that you feel supported, informed, and confident in your options, whether that’s continuing care with me virtually or seeing Sheila in person.

When you’re ready for a clear next step, you can book with either of us through the link in bio or by calling the clinic.

Here’s what most people don’t realize 👇

Your gut isn’t just about what you eat.
It’s also about how your body functions.

If your nervous system is constantly in “fight or flight”…
digestion slows down.
Absorption suffers.
Inflammation can increase.

This is where osteopathy comes in.

Osteopathic treatment focuses on:

• Regulating your nervous system
• Improving circulation to digestive organs
• Releasing tension through the abdomen and diaphragm
• Supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and regulate

Your gut and your nervous system are deeply connected.
You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Book an osteopathic assessment and start supporting your gut from the inside out - booking link in bio and stories

Wellness folks all agree, this time of year brings on BUSY SEASON! It gets wild in no time.

For those of you who've been holding onto health benefits, get booking your appointments now! Yes, now!

Our practitioners' availability will steadily decrease from now until the end of the year, with evenings and weekends getting snatched up first.

For those of us without health benefits, or with maxed out coverage, here's your reminder that we get an influx of lovely new clients starting now - so please pre-book your sessions!

Our cancelation policy will change from 24hrs to 48hrs notice as of Oct. 1st, due to the volume of same day cancelations we tend to see AND the challenges of keeping our practitioners schedules reliable.

We are all self-employed peeps who generally make 50% of our income during these months - please be exceptionally respectful of our immune systems AND our cancelation policy.

We stand by the mutual respect that our clinics promote, and we deeply appreciate you all for honouring our livelihoods!

Thank you always,

The OW family

A former ER nurse, @drsheila_nd opened her naturopathic practice a few years ago.

Sheila is constantly learning new strategies so she can offer her clients the most informed care.

I’ve had a long conversation about poop with Sheila- hahaha and it was really interesting!

So, if you need a medically informed naturopathic doctor (and let’s be honest, most of us do) reach out to @drsheila_nd !

And if you need images for your website- reach out to me. Currently booking June dates and beyond.
