1 Noiembrie, Expirat, open doors 20:00.

SHAPESISTER LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME, NOVEMBER 1, OPEN DOORS 20:00 👩🏼‍🐰‍👩🏻👩🏻‍🐰‍👩🏽

Featuring Nikita Dembinski on vocals and synths, Dru Popa on drums, Mihai Costăchescu on bass and synths and Luca Călăraș on guitar, shapesister are a new Bucharest band sitting somewhere between art rock and post-punk, with one foot in the angular world of bands like De Staat and IDLES, and the other in the softer, dreamier universe of bands like The National.

Their songs can be tense, repetitive and abrasive, but can easily turn melodic and romantic. The quartet explores the ordinary and the everyday, steering clear of existential anxieties: bodies, appetite, shame, intimacy, childish cravings, bad habits, and the small things that end up taking over your day.

Their first songs are coming out in October, and November kicks off with the band playing them live for the very first time at Expirat.
November 1st, Expirat, open doors 20:00.

Last night Yoni Mayraz offered more than a show. The music the trio took the audience into a meditative state, with the bass (@tom_driessler) and drums (@zoepascal) dictating the rhythm and the keyboards (@yonimayraz) painting the landscape.

With this show, the ALT JAZZ series opens a new chapter, one in which music comes to offer balance, inviting introspection while letting the mind wander free, unburdened by the daily worries.

No matter the genre you are into, jazz sits at the foundation, being a medium that can both construct and deconstruct realities.

As with every show, the intro and the outro are of equal importance as the headliner, and @drudrums came to complete the story, showing he is not only one of the best drummers of the new generation, but also an amazing selector.

See you all at the next show 🧡

𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖. 𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐍 𝐗 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊.
𝐚𝐭 @mugshot.bucharest, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐 𝐏𝐌.

What happened last night?
Four DJs, four different spots, four different sides of the city, good music only.

We had @drudrums at @beansandfriends.ro,
@stanmangostan at @follia.bucharest @la_salumeria_bucharest,
@mossfarai at @nishani.afisauanufi,
@prvlte at @nomad.skybar.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this happen, to Campari for trusting us and to all of you who joined along the way 💃

Don’t forget the 4 DJs from last night will join us tomorrow as well at CINCIN X NEGRONI WEEK at @mugshot.bucharest. Of course @satanel7 and @oancebianca will be there too 🎧

Let’s drink our coffee together (and the Negronis that will follow after) 🥃

Shoutout to @ionutsofia for the video and edit 🎥

𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖. 𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐍 𝐗 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐚𝐭 @mugshot.bucharest. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝟐𝐏𝐌.

Rumors are true. Last night we tried something for the first time and damn, it was fun.

We wanted to do something special during Negroni Week, so our sound was in FOUR places at once.

Four DJs, four different spots, four different sides of the city.

Tomorrow, we do the exact opposite.

We gather on the same dancefloor for one more 🥂 with CAMPARI at @mugshot.bucharest.

Because if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that CINCIN is better together.

See you like… so very soon 🍊
