Introducing the Climb Youngstown Summer Concert Series 🎶

All summer long we're rolling up the garage doors and bringing live music into the gym with great regional acts, food, cold drinks, and the whole community hanging out. Pull up, grab a bite, and stay for the show.

Plumbers Punishing Penguins return for our 3rd Annual MAR10 Day celebration tonight at 6! 🍄

Come out and celebrate National MAR10 Day with us at the brewery! We have a ‘stache of surprises in store for you at our 3rd Annual MAR10 Day event happening Tuesday, March 10th. We brewed a NEW small batch collaboration beer using locally grown @millers_mushrooms — it’s an 8.8% Toadally Barrel Aged Barleywine from The Mushroom Kingdom Reserve we’re calling “Super Barely Brothers”. Doors open at 4PM with an optional 80’s style slap-koozie inclusive printed with custom MAR10 Day 3 artwork from @ratcreative (Lisbon, OH). These slap koozies will be available for the first 100 Super Barely Brothers Barleywines poured.

Mama Mia! Check the swag shop while you’re here because RAT is going all out for this event with special limited edition runs of MAR10 Day tee shirts. They also designed a MAR10 Day 3 commemorative sign which will be available while supplies last. Signs are made locally by The Meridian Design Studio, makers of TinType.Art Signs.

DJ @tiltnboogie will be spinning vinyl records in The Ballroom from 4-6PM followed by live music from Plumbers Punishing Penguins. @thevindys lead guitarist, @thejohnjanthony , has formed a special side project band comprised of current and former Vindys specifically for this event called Plumbers Punishing Penguins, a 6 piece band who will be playing in the Ballroom from 6 to 8PM and performing songs from the Super Mario Bros. soundtracks.

@stone_age_gamer from Salem, Ohio will be setting up Super Mario 3 on the projector in the Ballroom. Pass the controllers around and enjoy playing this classic while listening to the Plumbers Punishing Penguins. They may even organize some sort of tournament with prizes!

Let’s-a go! @pirateslifepinball is working on securing a Super Mario Bros. arcade machine as well… standby for updates on this fire flower upgrade!

Super Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach and/or other costumes encouraged for Nat’l MAR10 Day 2026!

Power up your dinner plans! Japanese-style hibachi on the patio from @bartellstake on Tokyo House serving 4-9PM. Game on!

In 1996, I went to my first concert at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Smashing Pumpkins with special guests Garbage. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness tour.

My dad drove me to the big city of Cleveland, dropped me off, and I guess must have sat in the parking lot and read a book for like three hours while I went to the concert. He has no recollection of this but it changed my life.

All I could think about as I sat up there in the nosebleeds as a teenager was, “This is incredible. I need to figure out a way to do this. This is incredible.”

New life mission unlocked. Bought the concert t-shirt. Wore it to school almost every day with my oversized blue jeans and baggy flannel. A skinny ball of nerves, full of self-importance, born to run.

Last night I returned to the now-named Rocket Arena, playing with the Wallflowers opening for Eric Clapton.

It took 29 years, but I made it from the nosebleeds to that stage. Looking forward to the next 29 years.
