What can I say? We had an absolute blast at the @pigsx7 hometown all dayer at @anarchybrewco ! Stellar lineup, first class crews behind the scenes, great venue, great crowd! Quality time with friends old and new (also missed a lot of friends who couldn’t make it). After the superb 3 day fest last year and pulling off this blinder I reckon it should become a yearly tradition 🥰

As always, undying gratitude to everyone on stage @pigsx7 @part_chimp_band @knatsncl @voka_gentle @bongii69420 @frankiearchermusic and also to those off stage: the epic @bridgewilliamssound and the rest of the sound crew, lighting people, venue staff, management, promoters, crew, merch sellers and every single person who makes days like this happen. Live music made by passionate people in smaller venues across the world is the treatment and the cure for many many people, thank you for playing your part and long may it continue! 💙🔥💙

You may have noticed we had a heatwave last week. As middle-aged goth-adjacent men resistant to shorts, it was a challenging time. Therefore you may have missed the THREE tapes we put out in the last month, your eyes and ears filled with sweat and your browsing fingers clammy beyond belief. That's OK though because we've done you a HEATWAVE THEMED SPECIAL OFFER!

That's right! You can grab the Drumm Chimp, Wayne Adams and USA Nails/AAA Gripper cassettes all in one go for £20 plus postage to your corner of the world. Spend the money you save on a Calippo. Linkinbio.

Joe's also done a heatwave-themed, Wiki-heavy episode of our occasional radio show. Scroll for tracklisting and head to Mixcloud to listen.

Keep scrolling to see the Wayne Adams "Absorb" EP cassette in the flesh. Orders are going out today. That watermelon pink tape casing really pops.

Stay hydrated

It's another new release - in fact its TWO new releases!

WSR089 is "Everything Is Good", the latest output from the vintage synth cave of DRUMM CHIMP and its a beauty.

Here's Joe to set the scene:

"As we drove home from London, 1.30am, the A303, in the Spring of 2026, we went past Solstice Services down to the roundabout and were beginning to climb the hill to Stonehenge. I cannot remember what we'd been doing in London. Playing music in some form, for sure. It doesn't matter.

The van has lost of bit of power in it's old age, we were sitting at 50mph (JUST), it had been a long day, bed was over an hour away. We were crawling towards it.

We'd decided 20 minutes earlier to play the digital of this here new Drumm Chimp album. DC had just sent it to us. As we climbed the hill to the 'henge track four was playing.

The van doesn't have digital music capabilities so the album was running out of a portable speaker at an alarming' STAY AWAKE' volume.

Track four is 'Drone Mountain', the first three and a half minutes are exactly that. We looked at each other and said 'if a beat drops when the henge appears we are taking it as a sign'. The henge is funny in the dark hours. You still see it as a silhouette, it's somehow darker than the night.

As we climbed over the hill the tune hit three minutes and 41 seconds.

The night sparked into life. The beat dropped. The henge was there, brighter than ever.

It was emotional and we're no hippies.

The album HAD to be released.

So, here is the third Drumm Chimp album on Wrong Speed, 'Everything Is Good'. The spirits said yes. The druids said yes. The world said yes"

That's how it happened. Jon aka Drumm Chimp would later casually confirm that he foresaw this moment when composing the song. PRE-COG!

There's only 50 cassettes of this. A load of them went at the Shipley all-dayer. The rest (and the digital download) are on Bandcamp NOW where you can stream this masterpiece too. Linkinbio.

While you're there we've also put the remaining copies of WSR0694 - the AAA Gripper/USA Nails tour tape - on sale too. There's a link in the bio for that as well. Grab em both.

out today in all the usual digi places - Tabitha Zu - Heard It Before.

this is the first record i was on in 1992 - drums & electric guitar! Tabitha Zu were formed in Newark, Nottinghamshire in 1991 when i met the singer/guitarist Mel (Maple Bee to you) at college there. we toured our asses off in 1992 and made this split single with Homage Freaks, then a 12" before splitting up at the start of 93...Mel went on to form Zu (which i was in for a couple of gigs), then go solo, then do a load of other stuff. i joined a band called müng, then formed Ligament with Ray (who i met when he was doing sound for Tabitha Zu) and Timmy Chimp...sure you can figure out the rest...

Morning! Joe's done a new Wrong Speed Radio episode and its a loose Wrongspeedfest North Spesh with music from the bands playing in Shipley on Saturday *plus* tunes from the two exclusive tape releases you'll find on the merch table *plus* some classics from Kirkgate Centre gigs of years gone by (that Gnod tune never lets you down).

The eagle-eared will notice first public appearances for songs by Drumm Chimp, The Breedling, Blind Eye (LP available Saturday ahead of time), AAA Gripper and USA Nails plus a sneaky recording of Science Fiction that Joe obtained by scaling the roof of the SF practice room and gently hanging his phone through the window.

Play loud, obviously...

See you Saturday! @theendlesshum for tickets!

At this Saturday’s Wrongspeedfest North in Shipley we’ll have TWO exclusive cassette releases for you!

WSR089 is “Everything Is Good”, the latest release from the enigma that is DRUMM CHIMP. Part Chimp drummer Jon Hamilton, aka Hamilton Industry doesn’t just reduce drumkits to sawdust for laughs, he also makes incredible, meditative, exploratory, kosmiche music under the Drumm Chimp name. He’s done two cassettes for the label already, both sold out. “Everything Is Good” is his latest transmission and it’s *beautiful*.

WSR094 is “Mai 2026 Live Split” – a split release of live recordings by AAA GRIPPER and USA NAILS to commemorate their Euro jaunt occurring at the end of the month (scroll along for dates). A side each of live recordings, expertly captured in the raw from two of shithole island’s finest live bands. If you can’t make those EU dates in person then we recommend grabbing a copy of the tape, playing it loud in a dark room, drinking delicious European beers and being excellent to everyone around you in order to replicate the EU gig experience.

Both of these tapes will be available to buy EXCLUSIVELY in Shipley on Saturday. They’re (as you’d expect) stupidly limited-edition. We’ll get them out digitally and up for mail order on Bandcamp sometime in June. Beat the rush!

Grab tickets for Saturday from The Endless Hum: @theendlesshum

Running times are (loosely) -

6 – Doors
6.30 – The Breedling
7.15 – Science Fiction
8 – Blind Eye
8.45 – Irked
9.40 – Objections

See you Saturday, no excuses. Bring merch money. We take card payments too. We even printed up some WSR stickers (finally)!
