Holy Moly! 35 and feeling more alive than ever. I’ve spent my birthday so far laughing til tears stream down my face, surrounded by people I love so incredibly much I don’t even have words for it. I wish I could tell my teenage self how fucking good it gets. I feel like I won the luck lottery.

Happy Birthday to my 5 year old baby!!! Pearl is my heart, my soul, my sanity and the best decision I’ve ever made. She is full heart and a side of some very goofy brains. She is a friend to all, the snuggliest girl I’ve ever known, and my adventure buddy though she hates cars. To know her is to love her. Here’s to 500 more my angel puppy.

2025 has been a really lovely time. (I know the world around us is falling to pieces but I’m going to focus on my inner world for a minute) I’ve gotten to feel and give a ton of love to people and animals and crafts and food. I’ve spent time laughing and lounging and working really goddamn hard. I’ve celebrated and grieved and I wouldn’t change a dang thing. Thanks for being my people.

Beyond grateful for the siblings in sound I’ve made over the years through this project. Deep connections in improvisation, so raw and unadorned. I see each of you for who you really are, and man, the truth is transcendent. What a privilege to get to spend a few minutes on stage in communion. A transfiguration of flesh & bone integrated in to one holy sound.

RIP KUROSAWA
We lost our lil prince this Saturday. Ava really wanted a cat. Thom wanted a cat. I didn’t want a cat, but Ku turned out to be like a son to me. I’m really grateful to @drumrug for finding him for Ava and I’m really grateful to @xavierschipani for finding him on Saturday. Xavier really handled all of it and made sure I didn’t see Ku in that state. He is being cremated and we will definitely have a party for him soon that you are all welcome to come to. I wanted to take a second to express how grateful I am for all the treats that have been dropped off. I have talked to Ava her whole life about the amount of love that is around her, but today she saw serious proof of that. She didn’t know that Ku had died until this afternoon because she was with her dad and Jane in Lockhart and I wanted to tell her in person. We cried about it on the way home and I told her that when she sees all the flowers and treats that are at home waiting for her….that is evidence of the love I always remind her of. As a mother, that is the biggest gift y’all can give me. Thank you. Ava and I wanted to pass some of that love on in Kurosawa’s honor so we made little treat bags for @atxfreefridge. For whatever reason, Ku only liked marshmallows and butter as far as people food goes…so each bag got a Rice Krispie treat plus little bits of everything y’all shared with us. I love you.
