POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re here with our first post featuring international sounds of 2025—this time with some changes. First, we no longer have playlists on streaming services. That’s right, fuck the platforms. The most popular ones pay poorly, and it doesn’t make much difference anyway since most of the international music we cover is weird, experimental, and outside the scope of interest for typical platform users. Most importantly, playlists don’t even get proper reach within these platforms. So, that’s it. They’re gone.

The cover of this post features Musicians, a painting by Russian artist Nicolas de Staël from 1953. Since we didn’t post in December, we’re bringing all the albums and EPs we listened to over the past two months and really enjoyed. At the end of the year, fewer releases tend to drop, but I can say that the ones selected here—whether from late last year or early this year—are really solid.

Take the time to read about them and listen in full—you know where to find the link!

Welcome to episode 21 of the weekly series Groover Digest in which I feature tracks sent to me on @groover.en from artists around the world.

Groover is a music promotion website where artists can upload their music and send tracks to curators for their feedback and promotion. I was recently invited to join the Groover team as a curator and am delighted to be able to give a platform to all the hard-working big dreaming artists who create music for the love of it.

On this week's episode we have an eclectic set of tracks from artists in #France #USA #Germany #Sweden #Portugal and #Spain and we're diving into some #Electronic #Indie #Psych #Ambient #Pop and #Electrimental for some good 'ol genre hopping.
