As we move into Autumn our new exhibition reflects the seasonal change.
We are delighted to be showing the work of these artists alongside our own work.

Stained glass panels from @jane.littlefield.glass
depicting images inspired by the Peak District, its nature, history and folklore.

Luxuriously tactile, handcrafted knitwear by @katejonesknitwear in limited editions, using finest quality lambs wool, spun and dyed in the British Isles, designed and made in Margate.

@druvcole23 original dry point Etchings which are created from Dru's original drawings. Some are made from recycled Tetrapak cartons others by the reduction lino cut method.

The exhibition runs from 7th September - 7th November. The gallery is open 10:30 - 5pm Monday to Saturday and 11 - 4pm on Sunday.

Talking to the World yesterday at the wonderful live online talk I gave invited by @sohophotogallery and so grateful for the opportunity.

The Soho Photo Gallery is a wonderful institution that was born in Soho New York and promotes photographic Art Work. Managed by a group of truly dedicated people I loved working with them and I am so sorry that I am so far to visit in person… I was their invited guest as an alternative process and I thought it was so relevant as I have heard so many times « this print is so good it looks like a photograph » … I gave a talk about my life as a colour maker and more specifically about my new book « Botanical Printing on Paper » published by @thecrowoodpress

Take a look at their page they have wonderful exhibitions and if you can’t make it there you can for sure replay the many talks online they have kept on their website. I know I will pay them a visit when in New York … and so should you @ritasdaughter0102

But that is not all… at the same time I simmered a couple of prints in a little pot of Logwood of my favorite Cotinus. And they turned out beautifully well. Just to demonstrate that printing can be simple and beautiful if you are well prepared.

It was such an incredible moment and over 160 of you came on at the one time 😳 a mind blowing experience when you think of it… as mind blowing as starting teaching on zoom in 2020 because of Covid.

I recognised so many of you on the screen … up to 8 folds at 25 people per fold … you do the math… to those of you who took the time … who got up specially early or stayed up so late thank you 🙏 I see you 🥰 you are my family forever

And I did notice those of you who had my book :) I know this is a blunt way to illustrate this but because of you I eat breakfast today 🫶

I am sure I missed many people in my tagging but my heart is with you all of you and I am grateful for your support …

Thank you @sohophotogallery @juliarasch @druvcole23 @jdesignlamb_art @mrwhitekeys @sswatkonni and many others

🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴

What an amazing 2026 Open Weekend season we have had so far!

We have also had some fantastic mid week group visits/ talks - it always gives us great pleasure to share the beauty of the field when it is in glorious, colourful bloom.

We can’t believe we are coming up to our last weekend for this year already.

We will be open as usual, 11am - 4pm on;
Saturday 25th July
Sunday 26th July

🥧 On Sunday 26th, we will once again have the amazing Mr T’s Pies selling their award winning pies and delicious barbecue/ salads along with our own yummy homemade cakes 🍰🧁served with teas, coffees and cordials.

🎶 We will have two hugely talented local singer songwriters, Lilith Pearson and Dunk Burns, to provide our musical entertainment from 1pm onwards.

🎨Marian Watson, Drusilla Cole and Jane Pickett will also be continuing their exhibition in the pop up railway carriage gallery.

So please join us if you can! Just bring your own chairs and share with us a bit of New Hope joy ... there will still be plenty of flowers in bloom and potted daylilies to buy/ reserve!

🅿️ Plenty of parking and disabled parking adjacent to field

A couple of times this year I haven't been able to have the time/energy to make patterns proper, like when we make trips. So I turn to my design books, aiming to read one per trip.
•
This one was in April, when I took kiddo on her first Vline trip to Bendigo 😊 An easy book to flip through and see how others make patterns, although there were some where I wished I could have zoomed in/out so I could've gained a better perspective of the pattern as a whole.
