Game one at @thealpinecup

I was up against Sebastian @drybrushed and his Deathwatch. The mission was Purge the Foe on Hammer and Anvil with the Deathwatch going first.

Sebastians first turn was very calm, only killing a dingle witchseeker with indirect fire and not moving out of cover at all. The only exposed piece was his Lieutenant with Combi-weapon, whom I managed to pick up with a squad of Guard setting up close to him. While I had to expose a valuable unit for the Lieutenant, this scored me a lot of points turn one.

Turn two the Deathwatch connected, killing the exposed squad of Guard along with a Land Raider, two squads of Guard took out an Indomitor Kill Team in return, while my shooting decimated one and hurt another Fortis Kill Team.

Turn three of the Deathwatch was spent trying to secure a foothold on their natural expension objective, while the marines struggled to take care of the Custodians in their own deployment zone. A good round of shooting into the Judiciar's Squad and a charge onto their home objective let me push the Deathwatch off all objectives, while also getring rid of most damage that Sebastian had left.

The last two turns were spent with the Custodes chasing around the table, while the Deathwatch teleported around to score a few more points.

Overall, the game ended in a 18-2 victory for my Custodes
