This is a very small, but nonetheless interesting detail added this morning to my VFC FN…. A South African R1 carry handle removed from a Rhodesian weapon round about 1976 when weapons were painted camo after sling swivels and carry handles were removed or cut off. This one came looking for me via a friend who’s Dad was a territorial armourer in Rhodesia.

What is DSA doing when it comes to the newly NFA deregulations? I sat down with Marc from DSA to get some answers a bunch of us now have. Head over to YouTube for his comment on our newly gained freedom 💪🏼🇺🇸

Stage Three GTA 69 @lethalweaponstexas

Another stage from Lethal Weapons. I definitely struggled with how I was carrying the Speed sticks but the @winchesterrepeatingarms 1892 in 44-40 on loan from @rfr_overton did amazing!

Thanks to @78westshooters and @theranchtxclub for hosting lethal weapons.

Thanks to the sponsors!

So, having introduced #effennfriday quite a few years ago, I’m pleased to still be able to bring you images that I’m absolutely certain most of you will never have seen before!
Pic 9 for example shows off a fairly unique set of camouflage leather chest webbing (the same leather as my boots that some of you will remember) in use. I do know that the residual salt in the leather from its first dry curing rusts magazines terribly when the leather gets wet, so not a great idea in practice!
There’s a new pic of a heavy barrel FN and some German G1 FNs as well, with Guard Force.
Have a great Friday, and remember….
Rhodesia was Super!

FAL from Black Ops 6

Nobody stayed around long enough in this game to know this thing was added 😂 still had some cool retro parts for the time though.

Optic in game is of course stylized and fictional, but it is reminiscent of the old EOtech 4X magnifier. This thing is super weird to use; it gives a square sight picture.

LTAC Tuesday Oct. 13th
FN FAL: The Right Arm of the Free World - As you know, we are big fans of the FN FAL. This evening, @ltac_basil (with a little input from @ltac_zulu )is going to go through assembly and disassembly, trouble-shooting, and maintenance. We will be talking some history and explaining why we love this platform so much. There will be multiple examples and students will be able to get their hands on them. Students are also welcome to bring their own if they have them. This is going to be a fun and informative evening. #lodestone #ltactuesday #fal #rightarmofthefreeworld #lodestonetac

Picked up this badass SUIT optic thanks to @legacy_collectibles

The Sight Unit Infantry Trilux (SUIT) was a British-designed 4× prismatic combat optic that saw service with Israeli small arms, including FAL-pattern rifles (as pictured here).

Its distinctive feature was the inverted illuminated aiming post (scroll to see the sight picture) originally using tritium, which provided a fast and uncluttered aiming reference in low-light conditions. The optic incorporated range settings and was intended primarily to improve infantry target acquisition rather than serve as a dedicated sniper scope.

An old school optic from a past time - something that is super cool and really rounds out this @dsarms.inc FAL!
