A closer look at the King City Estate. 🤍

With professional photography now complete, we’re excited to begin sharing this project in a new way - from the finished spaces to the drawings, selections and considered details that brought them to life.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing a series of posts offering a deeper look into the design process, the decisions behind each space and the craftsmanship that makes this home so special.

On November 2nd, the full project will be unveiled on our website. We can’t wait for you to see it in its entirety.

First up, the family room.

Anchored by a dramatic fireplace, the space balances architectural impact with warmth and softness. Patinated brass finishes, custom millwork and layers of sumptuous upholstery bring depth and texture to the neutral palette, while organic shapes and curved details create a natural sense of movement.

With soaring double-height ceilings, we wanted to honour the scale of the architecture while creating moments that feel intimate and inviting. Vertical artwork and sculptural lighting draw the eye upward, while a pair of chairs creates a quieter seating moment within the expansive space.

We look forward to sharing more of the King City Estate with you.

Built for the room - not just the wall✨

Hear from Jessica as she walks through the design behind this family-room feature, while Lancaster executes the concept in custom millwork - bringing together warm wood tones, custom metal accents and precise detailing.

Complex in composition, precise in execution🤍

Jessica Cinnamon’s design called for a layered combination of materials, brought to life through close collaboration between DSBG and Lancaster. Each element of the custom millwork was carefully coordinated to preserve the clarity of the original vision.

This is what happens when the right team gets to work.
