Ivy-Sage’s Grade 6 Graduation 👩‍🎓

Our final graduation, our final event, our final week at Leslieville Junior Public School. After 15 incredible years in this community that has given us so much, it is time to move on to the next chapter.

We’ve met so many amazing parents, teachers and friends over the years that have truly enriched our lives in ways I don’t think we truly even understand yet. You have all helped raised our daughters, shaped their lives and even taken care of them when we couldn’t.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You all know who you are. We only hope other families can be as lucky as we were and find a community as strong as ours.

It’s hard to even think about life outside of Leslieville JPS, but one thing we know…we won’t miss walking up that damn hill every day!

Thanks Leslieville and a HUGE congratulations to Ivy-Sage, we love you so much! ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve never been a car guy but I now understand why Neil Young wrote a song about his car…

This car has been a huge part of our lives, some would argue she is a member of our family. We’ve had her longer than our youngest child. We’ve taken it on countless road trips - all over Ontario for Holiday dinners, cottage getaways, camping trips, ski trips, snowstorms, rainstorms, sunsets, sunrises, photoshoots and two epic trips to New York and back.

The kids used to ask “can we go play in the car? and spend hours playing with friends in the parked car. During Covid they’d climb on top of it and sit on the roof while the neighbourhood kids did the same on their parents’ car.

It’s helped carry my equipment to some of the most incredible photo shoots - shoots that changed my life and career forever

I’ve always referred to our Mazda 5 as my “dream car”. I’ve always loved it and will truly miss it, but it’s time to move on

We are happy to know she will be loved by a new owner and not scrapped for parts just yet. There’s a lot of life left in her…but for now it’s time for The Spinkstein’s to say farewell to our beloved Sparkleberry ❤️🚗

HGTVs Renovation Resort! My Goal… To design for Experience. Its all about the vibes!

When I design, I always start by imagining the person who will live—or in this case, stay—within the space. For our vacation rental property on HGTV’s Renovation Resort Showdown, I envisioned a guest traveling from a bustling major city to the serenity of a lakeside property. They want a true four-season getaway, but without sacrificing the level of luxury they’re used to in their own home.

Our design combined the convenience of a year-round retreat with the elevated experience of a luxury resort. From bold, city-inspired design elements like statement wallpaper on the ceiling and a curated black-and-white tile pattern in the bathroom, to serene, nature-inspired colors of blue and green that echo the lake just outside, every choice was intentional. Even the layered lighting, textural fabrics, and off-centered mirrors were designed to surprise, delight, and create an atmosphere that feels as indulgent as it is comfortable.

Because great design isn’t just about what looks good—it’s about how you feel when you’re there. For our guests, that meant the perfect balance of escape and familiarity, of adventure and ease.

This is the same philosophy I bring to every project: understanding your lifestyle, anticipating your needs, and creating a space that feels like it was designed just for you. 🤎

Episode 3! Tell me what you guys think? Did I make a mistake with layout? I decided to place the TV to the right of the fireplace so that it’s not the focal point of the room, conversation could flow and I wanted the fireplace to shine! But tell me what you think? Should the TV be on the fireplace?
